It could be part of his racing name. With some retired greyhounds it's easier to keep the name they know instead of changing it and confusing him/her. My own greyhounds names are Current and Posey.

That's so cute. My sister used to have a whippet. His name was Bullit. He loved to just lie around with his beloved family. A great dog. Incredibly smart and sorely missed.
