I like the old XJ's for their classic looks, and luxury, with utmost power. The new one is nice, but I am not a fan of the exterior looks. It's like Nissan 370Z which looked awkward compared to the old 350Z.

@worras2007 I hear you pal ! This car is such a failure. A huge, huge, dissapointment, as I had very high expectations with this one. Only from the front can you tell it's a Jag, from the back it looks like a french a piece of shit like you said Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, etc, and the rear profile line does indeed resemble a Ford Modeo (not Focus). So except the front, which is nice, it is BY FAR the worst design in it's class.

Fantastic, love the front, the interior and the engines BUT without the blacked out rear pillars this would look like a hatch back, the designers obviously couldn't resolve certain issues with the rear end, so sad!

I've been really spending a lot of time looking at this model, and in my opinion, it really is the perfect evolution of the original Series 1 XJ, especially when you look at them side by side and see the evolution. It's the perfect 2010 reinterpretation of the original design, yet at the same time, it is not stuck in the past. I think it's a very successful design, and every bit as beautiful as the original. The proportions are almost spot on and identical.

I've come to realize that this car doesn't always look right in certain angles, and colors and lighting in the still pictures, but as soon as you do a walk around like in this video, you can tell that it will look really good in person. At first I didn't believe the designers when they talked about getting the look "just right", but the more that I see it, I actually believe they "got it". I am excited for this model.

OMg i so agreee.. when people class it as the same as an s-class or a 7 series,, i completely disagree,, i find jaguars are in a class of its own.. plus for what you get,, they are really resonably priced :)
