Notice how Kratos dies on a phoenix engraved on the ground. And Phoenixes mainly are a sign of resurrection. Know how he killed the sisters of fate on god of war 2, he could use there power to save himself. Know how Kratos could have used Poseidons healing power to jump into the sea and heal himself. Yes people, this is not the end. The Ghost of Sparta will be back.

Just realised, that in GOD OF WAR 1, he said " The Gods of Olympus have abandoned me, now there is no HOPE". And in GOD OF WAR 3, Pandora's whole theory was on hope, and how it makes you strong and how Kratos had Hope trapped inside him all along.
