The kindle has a free library that contains over 5.5 millions books published before 1920. This one features pays for the kindle. Many popular schools books and classic literature like 1984, Heart of Darkness, and Our Mutual Friend are on there. It is also environmentally friendly. I like it.

@Danielhsv0 The Kindle 1 is the first generation. If you buy one now it will be Kindle 2. I have a Kindle 1 since I bought mine over a year ago. If you go to amazon it will have the Kindle most likely right on the home page. Right now it is $259. There is also a larger model called the Kindle DX which is more expensive. ($489) Hope that helps :)

Do you like to read? Do you want to save money on books? Would you like to be able to send samples to yourself and carry many books in the size of about a paperback? If you like the way all that sounds you should consider investing in one. Also if you read classics that are in the public domain you can read them for free! Plus you can ask for gift cards for the holidays to pay for books. :) It is definitely worth it for me. I got mine as a birthday/xmas present over a year ago.
