this is so bad done... first they say that a frisean is a toroughbred, even though those are racehorses, the boy gives a freshly born foal water and the foal takes it, the foal calmly walks on a rope next to the boy and lets him stroke him even though the horse had previously had only bad experiences with humans and he's never got a rope around its nose before, the young mare that lives with her father foals don't live with their father, they never! i'll sure find some more to criticise :D

@1234gimmeascream if the stallions owner keeps a foal, a foal would then live with its father. and My filly had a halter on the day she was born and was fine, and lead. and the foal also had a halter on it the whole trip since he was born, as he had it on when he was swimming.

@1234gimmeascream Actually, when they say Thoroughbred, they mean a purebred, or thoroughly bred horse with thoroughly studied pedigree. Its confusing, I know. And its actually been proven that horses turn out better if they live with their mothers and fathers. They need them both. In this movie you'll also see them use horses that look nothing alike for lucky, one minute he's a sabino arabian, the next he has a stripe and maybe one sock.

Beautys name is really Noodle. And in this film a colt plays her... ironic i know, but Beauty (Noodle) is not a black horse, but a bay. a dark bay really, but... you know.. lol she's really only a mare when she grows up (obiously. but i mean a mare plays her part, not a colt.) =]

On very VERY rare occasions Freisans can have small white marks. But the filly foal in this movie is def. not a Fresian filly ;)

Yeah there seem to be a lot of liberties taken when making this movie. He also shouldn't care that she is a lowly work horse, and only care about the fact that she is a mare, and he is a stallion, let's make pretty Arab/Friesian babies together. But that wouldn't work in a family friendly movie.

It isn't realistic to say that horses can tell a story or reason like that either. Liberties are usually taken with animal movies. I do wonder what that would look like though. arab/friesian babies.

I believe that "Thoroughbred" is another word for purebred, not just the breed itself :) The horses on the train are more then likely mixed breeds, including the foal. The ones in the stallions stable are all purebreds, or 'thouroughbreds.' That term, I think, is used on other species, like dogs and cats :)

The point is, the work horses aren't -purebred- Thats why Ceaser doesn't like them. He is a purebred (Or Thoroughbred) Friesian. As I said, Thoroughbred is another term for purebred, and not just the breed.
