Oh my goodness.. we tried your recipe with dinner tonight, and it was delicious. How do I know this? 1. because I liked it. 2. because Dear Son had seconds! Thank you for sharing your recipe! It's a keeper! ~tina
this is great. I took it a little further and added some cinnamon in it and a little vanilla extract and sweetened it up just a little more. I make it more as a desert for my family and they love it. Thanks for sharing.
As always, I loved your recipe and so did my guests! Maybe you should do a video on how to stay in such good shape, whilst eating such amazing food?? Really Betty, how do you do it?
how do you stay so tiny and cook such wonderful food? i'm from the south, NC all my life in fact, and have to work out like crazy so I can still have things like tea and baked macaroni and cheese!
Hi Betty, I just wanted to let you know that when i made this for Easter it turned out wonderful and it was exactly what I expected in taste and texture. I used to get the frozen stouffer's corn souffle many, many, years ago and was missing that but the homemade version is so much better for you! Thanks again!
This looks so yummy! I was looking for a recipe that didnt include Jiffy Muffin Mix - as we cant get that here in Australia! I'm trying this tonight! Thank you so much for posting this recipe! :)
Unfortunately, I missed Thanksgiving but I just finished preparing the recipe. It's coooking in the oven right now! Thanks for posting this; my mum has made corn pudding before but I hadn't done it myself. And by the way, me I'm a Virginian! I definitely agree with your idea to serve this with ham.
no harm intended but just prepared recipe and was sooo dissappointed. was so much looking forward to having pudding since it's been a long time. now gotta throw it all away. was expecting sweet and got salty. got to find another recipe. beaumont recipe same amt. of sugar.
I'm sorry you were disappointed with the corn pudding that you made from my recipe. That's just what you are going to get if you make the traditional Southern corn pudding--as you noted, Beaumont Inn (the most famous restaurant for making corn pudding) uses a recipe similar to mine. I think you are looking for something that is a dessert. If that is the case, you will need to design your own recipe, adjusting the sugar and the salt--I'm sure it will be good!
Thank you so much for posting this! I'm from Fredericksburg, Virginia and never EVER ate a holiday meal without corn pudding. I'm talking Thanksgiving, Christmas, even Easter! I moved down to New Orleans almost two years ago and they've never heard of corn pudding. I couldn't believe it. I'll give your recipe a try and see if I can't get 'em hooked, too! Happy Thanksgiving, Betty!
It did! I made a batch for myself (I was that excited about it!) and it was a little different, but I think that's just because my grandma and mom always used plain ol' white sweet corn which made it a little sweeter. It was still delicious! Thanks again!
Hi! Thanks for trying the corn pudding! I'm glad it turned out great for you! It is 1/4 cup flour, not 1/2 cup! Thank you for noticing that discrepancy in the write-up. I will change that right now!!! Thanks so much for viewing (and trying!) and giving some feedback!
I'm glad to hear from a fellow Kentuckian! I know a lot of my viewers are thinking "What on earth is corn pudding?" This is a really good recipe. I'm sure it will come out great for you! Thanks for your comment (and for trying it!).
I love me some corn pudding. I have to try this recipe!!

Hi Betty, What oven degree do you use? I don't see it mentioned in your recipe above. I would like to make it for Easter dinner. Thank you.

@Georgie1954 I bake this corn pudding at 350 degrees. Thanks for alerting me to the missing information! Good luck with your Easter dinner!

curious if I could subsitute the canned cream corn with the home made cream corn you make?

Yes, they can be interchangeable. Canned corn will be a little thicker, but good. Thanks for your question!

Hi Betty, from down under.
Computers in the kitchen, makes it easy for 1st timer in kitchen.
It is great to have your video playing as a companion in the kitchen while making the corn pudding, to clarify 1/2 cup flour, or 1/4 cup flour.
The corn pudding was great, all my family loved it, even our fussy eater.
I am looking forward to making another of your easy dishes tomorrow night.
I took a pic, I'll see if I can post it as a pic response.

dawesbiker 2 years ago
You can use whole kernel corn, if you like. Drain it, and add 1/4 cup more milk, and it should be fine!
