I have only gone to one show in HK, and that was Anita's. I think it was between 1983 to 1987. I enjoyed every single second. I am glad I saw her live on stage. She's born to do what she did. It was a gift for us to have her in our generation. Thank you.

Agree with tomcane8 100%.Anita faced every problem that she had positively and she had done so many great things in her life.She took on her illness with strength and she was so positive about it.She even said that she will be able to fight and win this battle but sadly,she still left us.Artists now-a-day seriously need to learn from a queen like Anita. Even when she was sick she stood up on stage and performed. Artists today would cancel their concert if they were sick!!! How could they!!

I can still remember the first time watching her - that TVB singing contest she joined. As soon as I saw her, I told my family she's gonna win it. I believe I wasn't alone feeling it that way. Cos her performance was simply head and shoulder above everyone else.

To me, Anita was a born artist, born to be a star. Her stage presence till today still no one can match. And her life was such a sad story.

Although in reality, celebrities and ordinary people there is a distance between us. But in HK, especially those who born in the 70s, grew up in the 80s, when the celebrities like Yung Mei Ling, Lesile and Anita past away, you really felt that you had lost a family member. They are more than just stars, they are someone who we grow up watching them.

It's such a sad feeling when Yung Mei Ling died in such a young age, then Lesile, then Anita.

People mourn Michael Jackson about how he died so young after having such a hard life. What about Anita Mui?! She had an even harder life. A loving sister that died, a family that only wanted her money, a hard childhood with a selfish mother, never succeeding in finding a loving husband or having children! And she died at 40 years old of cancer which she didn't deserve to get! She didn't take drugs (like Michael Jackson) or have several suregeries (like Michael Jackson).

I am also trying to understand why someone like Anita Mui, so young and innocent, died so suddenly and unexpectedly. MJ's death didn't suprise me. Anita is not even in the same conversation. the population of HK is 7 million.statistically speaking MJ wouldve sold 100 albums to each HK citizen. This is like comparing a princess to a god no comparison when put together.
