It's been a while to see someone donning #54, the number of my most favorite role/support player of all time - Horace Grant. The more I look at this lad, the more he reminds me of Mr. Grant. I wonder if Patrick intended to shape his game after Horace Grant.

Great support/role players are to be feared. These hard working players make their main guys deadlier as they hit the opponents whenever they can.

I hope Yao and Rockets have a healthy season >.> and play till the end of the road.

I just love this pick more and more. Now I'm not comparing him yet obviously, but he reminds me of a young Karl Malone. He is a MAN. I love his versatility as well. It's funny, he absolutely resembles a Houston Rocket doesn't he? I think he will definately be on the roster next year, and with this move, Jordan Hill is officially expendable. Congrats on getting picked Patrick, your coming to a city that lovers their players. Good luck my friend!

I love the music they play before every pick. PP is a great addition, hes rlly mature being the veteran at Kentucky and hes very versatile and wellrounded. With Hill playing much better and according to his potential at Houston, brooks blooming as a starter, Bud being a steal for where he was drafted, PP is gonna add alot of depth to the young forwards. The Rocket's team is looking rlly solid with the young guys and the veterans like Yao, Kmart, Battier and i guess you can put Ariza in there.

Not to mention Houston tends to find players who play a lot "bigger" then they are. Chucky, Luis and Carl are smaller than their opponents but they gave bigger opponents plenty of trouble. Plus with Yao Ming, their undersize will be compensated. I played against 7 footer before (I am 6'4) and man, size do make a difference (since the 7 footer's teammates are smaller compare with my teammate on that occasion).

It was a tough choice between Carl and Luis but choices had to be made since you can only have that many players. I hope Carl would continue do well in Sacramento and hopefully his luck with injuries would change. Man, the tooth losing moment still make me cringe.
