Well, first off- the world champion rc51 is a totaly different monsters, over $100k worth of monster! that bad boy has over 180 ponies for sure! we are stuck with production "cruising" machines; but there is for sure lots we can do, 1 thing to remember is weight to hp ratio- this bike weights a ton! take off as much poundage as possible- need help let me know-
I have an rc51 and it barely beat an 07 r6. what the hell??? doesn't this bike have 133 hp? just curious. I am going to do a sprocket upgrade. and power commander this winter it should help. i know these bikes are geared for top end. I cant help but scratch my head because i have a 2002 and it won the us and world championships that year. yet the street version only has 133 hp? well wtf the 1000rr come with like 170?
@86chanko I use scorpion pipes,fully tuned powercommander,a smaller cog at the front and a little device that make 2nd and 3rd feel like 1st and 2nd gears! If i crank open the gas in 2nd it'll flip right over! And don't worry 'bout 4cyl. 1000cc bikes,they just think they're so fast 'cause they scream so loud at 15000rpm.....!
i dont clutch up anything from xr100's to rc51's. just not how i roll. power up in first shift in second immediatly, feather alittle, shift in 3rd then go til u run outta gas
I don't clutch up 'cause do not wanna wreck my tranny- a noob is one that rides a TL....haha get a real twin ya posser!- my RC will eat that TL all day!
The same set-up on my old RC- I just roll on in first then put it in second and ride it untill I get tired or run out of space- I do not encourage "poping the clutch", it's hard on the tranny- The RC is also very heavy, be carefull-
@svt4life i take that back mines a 03 lol anyways mine will like float the front tire a few inches threw the gears and will pop up in 1st but in 2nd i need something to bump off of like a slight incline of some sort in order to get it up on the throttle in 2nd

Power wheelies are for noobs my TL I clutch up in 2nd or 3rd on the highway but can still power up 1st and 2nd but don't recommend

man i have a 02 rc51 and mine has down one on the front sproket and up two on the rear
i would like to know or get an idea of what gear he;s in and how fast he's going when he pops the clutch to bring it up
