Some very sound advice here =) I always find it interesting how different people cope with living with different people, hehe - like a little microcosm of society ^^
I agree with having roommates. It is a good experience, but, like you, I have had the opportunity to live alone for several years now. I like it a LOT. I won't go back to living with someone until I meet the right mate. But that's just me.
When I need my private space, I go into my room. I'm glad that I can cross people in the rest of the house and have a chat if I feel like it though. I think I would get very lonely if I was living on my own.
oh, I totally agree with you on the shut-the-door issue. I really need to be on my own from time to time, and I hated feeling guilty then because I didn't spend time with my friend-roommates.
and, yeah, I know guys in their mid-twenties who've never used a washing machine...
thanks for the response. makes me want to vlog more :)
Was trying to 'count'-- think I went through (bad choice of words, mean that in a good way) about 7 "roomies" when off at college. Overall great experiences though, and very quickly taught me a lot of valuable "life lessons" about getting along with and interacting with people on a 'very close' basis!! A couple of them I still keep in touch with too!!
Well, I don't know, on Roommates... its a lot easier with strangers, that's true. But I think you can room with friends or people you already know, only it depends on a comfort space, I mean if you are comfortable enough to not care where they are it'll work out.
Also, "to not sweat the small stuff", so to speak, or be tolerant. Don't expect people to do you anything.
Just What I mean is some people work better with roommates than others. I say to try it, just realize it may not work out.
oh man i do have such good luck with my roommates! the first one is one of my best friends (and it works! we're not glued together, studying different things, having different friends and hobbies... but it's nice to come home and talk to someone who actually knows ANYBODY of your life before uni!) and the second one is also a really nice (but new) guy (so i've got old and new, which is good).
the living together is also working so great... hope it will stay like that :)
Hey that reminds me: I was the last one to clean the bathroom. That was ummm.. 7 months ago O_O GROSS. I need to get on these guys cases about that ;)
The only problem I'd see when moving in with you would be having to share with both Aeric AND Gaeri. I imagine they could have strong differences of opinions at times. ;P
On a technical note (you know I -have- to do that)... looks like you are mastering the 'learning curve' for the Mac, at least partially-- back to black and white but L and R-- I'm not quite sure about that one! But Gaeri "getting predictable"... what an bizarre thought, almost as bad as seeing him in color. (c: But actually I just can't complain about "video responses to hot girls" either LoL!!
Will you believe that iMovie 09 doesn't offer the possibility of mirroring footage? How n00bish. I'm currently busy establishing a workaround. Watch this space!
there's always bound to be the good and the bad when living with others. fortunately, i got put together with people that i get along with. living away from home definitely makes you more dependent, and reliable in a way. especially when one goes off to school, living in the dorms or apts. will give you a small experience of the real outside world. i also find that it makes you more respectful and time efficient.
oh sorry, must have been because of the black & white, and the fact that you uploaded the video in the middle of the night. also, I didn't know Muji before (my fault).
I am an OCD (CDO if you want to get alphabetical about it) person and clean my friends' homes when I visit. Agh.

very true! roomies rock, especially when they come from another country, speak other languages and bring cultural diversity! Recommended!

thanks for the advice. I like being alone time after time though, so yeah it may get really frustrating for me in a week or two

Yeah, too bad for the bad hair day.
I might pull this down soon, then. It's always embarassing for a video response to float in midair without the original video.

But yeah, it's a good thing we've got Aerilyn to clean up after us in the Inertia Crew Studios. *g*
