What's with this French bashing? I mean she's big in France. Besides the French have always recognized great talent. Know what, you might be right. If all the "divas" (such as M. Carey, W. Houston, etc.) and more popular singers were to cover it, it would still only fit Chan. She actually WROTE this song, recorded it before she got sober, and performed it after that is even more remarkable, IMHO).

SHE is amazing...and so is the song which transforms into an emotion through the sound being emitted by her unique voice. Having a song become something that only one person can make it successful means a lot more than what you are giving her credit for. As I said before, I still can't figure out the melody. Sure, it sounds GREAT when she sings it, but does it sound as great when someone else sings it, or plays it instrumentally? To me, THAT is what makes a great song, which by the way is different thing than a "great track" or "great performance" (in which case, had you said this instead of "great song", then I would agree and wouldn't be writing this now).

I don't know what you mean. This is a live performance on a TV show. I don't think they had time to "make up" the set to a warmth suited for her, or perhaps she wanted it that way... look, this is music, not visual performance. The fact that she happens to be good at moving around and conveying things visually is great but should always be regarded within the context of her music; if you hear it on the radio without knowing anything about it, I think that is a better judge of music than a video.
