How can they open for the Arcade Fire, honestly? The Arcade Fire may be good and semi-commercially successful (in indie rock terms) right now, but Superchunk is Superchunk and, frankly, there would be no Arcade Fire or room for any Arcade Fire without Superchunk. Furthermore, I highly doubt Arcade Fire will sound as good and have such a cult following in 20 years as does Superchunk now in their pseudo-retirement.
