TO PUT THIS TO REST..........is this possible by a pro?...YES, absolutely. Did Sly do this THAT FAST...no...he did not. I worked at a post visual effects house on this movie. With out getting into the technicalities of VFX.....the clip was basically sped up for those 20 frames or so and smoothed out so as NOT to look like it was a cheesy film speed up..

@KillerGloc9 Dude, the gun he's using is a Colt M119 pistol and only has 7 shots (per clip) and he mowed down 6 guys. They were also wearing full gear and he got a few guys in the legs, chest and the last guy in the head. He was pumping each guy with several bullets, too.

@cyguration No it's a Kimber Gold Combat II 1911 with blank ammunition. Blank ammunition hardly produces any recoil.

I can't even imagine how much that would hurt if you fired one without blanks...I'm a fairly strong guy and I can still say it would fuck up my wrist pretty good.

@TheBType Where'd your read that? They probably just cut out the slowest parts of him firing, and added muzzle flash when you don't see a clear view of the slide cycling. Search 1911 full auto on Hickok45's channel and may consider removing your previous comment.

Seems you're right, I read the article wrong it seems.

Apparently they made ten of these guns, some that fired live and some that were blank-firing, probably in case the props got damaged or something during filming, but they all had the customizations he ordered.

Maybe he decided he liked one and kept it for himself?

The 1911 IS a sweet gun....I know I'd like to carry one like he's got. For some reason those grips look sexy as hell.

@TheBType Yeah good grip and trigger pull and length of service make it winner. 1911 on COD4 can't tell a difference they're holding a controller with a spring assisted trigger. All they're thinking is "it sucks cause the 8 round magazine."

In my opinion if you ever need more then 8 .45ACP rounds on something at pistol ranges then you need to A: work on your aim or B: run because that's probably the fucking Terminator you're shooting at.

@TheBType Yeah I recommend you get ED Brown 10 round magazines cause the reliability. When I'm overage to buy a gun I'm gonna go with a HK45 with a threaded barrel, and a Raven Concealment holster for carrying. Maybe before I reach 10 guns I'll eventually get a Kimber 1911.

I already use Brown mags, and I must say they're quite fine.

I've had the pleasure of firing an HK45 before. It feels a lot like a USP, but I think it's slightly more comfortable, especially for guys with smaller hands like myself, which is pretty damn nice to shoot with.

Somewhat out of my budget range unfortunately as of late, hah.

I'd be careful buying Kimber 1911's. I've never experienced the problem myself, but I've had a few friends that had mechanical trouble with Kimber-made pistols sometimes. I can't agree or disagree, because I always buy my 1911's at Springfield Armory.

@TheBType Yeah I might go with a Springfield TRP. I won't rely on a 1911 as much as I do with HK but they sure are a good weapon to experience and tell stories about. I've never fired any of them but I have held them at gun shows. The grips glue to my hands.

How do you know he isn't an avid collector of firearms? Or that he doesn't spend time at a range? My point is just not to assume something, while I also doubt he knows as much about weapons as many people, to just assume he doesn't, is wrong.

@macdaddymario It's not an assumption, I've never met a gun collector that can't follow basic firearms rules like "keep your finger off the trigger until on target and ready to fire," it's anally taught at every legal US shooting range. Plus he lives in CA, one of the worst states to own a firearm if you ask me. My educated guess is he watches Future Weapons, MW2 and added these shooting techniques and guns to the story he wrote. I assure you my knowledge in guns is better than his and realistic
