  • the bass and drums play during the intro ya know

  • What a mish-mash! The fat white guy is not cool, but thinks he's rad w/o a shirt. What a friggin' moron.

  • @SkidRowJosephine

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

  • @anonimusketeer

    Go fuck yourself.

  • @SkidRowJosephine awww did your ego get hurt a little bit? Looks your mind needs to go through some chenges.

  • ... and wah-wah!

  • Kudos to anyone who can play and sing this tune -- Jimi's best EVER -- with passion and grace!

  • " Black people can only play that way?" You ever hear of Stevie Ray Vaughan? Why does everything always come down to race? Human beings are human beings and anyone can learn do anything? You want to know when all the racial descrimination and prejudice will go away? When everyone stops harping race and stops looking at people as the "black " this, or the "white" that, etc.... Further, its a two way street. Whn will it stop being OK to dis non-minorities while its still hell to dis minorities?

  • You guys soubd great.

  • Not the worst version I can recall. I think I have played this tune with about two dozen different sets of pickers and this rates about in the middle. Seems everyone can play but the first note of the theme must be the lowest note possible that the bassist can play in the key that is being sung. Or tune to it . (anybody with a five string b disregard)

  • drums absolutely suck and i cant hear the vocals. guitarist is over doing it but the bassist is the only decent guy threre.

  • Terribly sorry, but your kick drum is interfering with the music

  • wasnt expecting much but hats off guys that was fucking solid!

  • I just gotta ask...who uses a Roland JC 120? Don't people realize transistor amps are the devil?

  • bit of a poor recording which is a shame... but can still tell its a great effort by the boys...

  • have you uploaded fire?

  • very nice music, only I'd appreciate if you make it clear in the title that this is a cover version ...

  • Nice job, tight band

  • you r right jono..i saw this band performing in kl blues festival..gugun...marvellous...music has no barrier...

  • Not asian! black american, with indian american grandparents!

  • Duuuude! this is soo nice guys! Want to have a band like that!!

  • NO its when buddy miles went solo

  • Good version . This version reminds me Kenny Wayne Sepherd´s version a bit

  • Nice one !

  • why is jimi hendrix mentioned in the title as if he had something to do with this song? i'm aware of the fact that buddy miles played in the band of gypsy's, but i'm pretty sure he didn't have anything to do with this song and/or album. maybe i'm mistaken?

  • @analogWeapon ~ Because Jimi did the song with Buddy in Band of gypsys. Its here on you tube. its good, watch it.

  • did he? i knew it was on the buddy miles album, but i didn't know they played it in the band of gypsies. now i know. :)

  • the song is also on the band of gypsies album from 1970

  • pretty sure its the live version they're playing from the filmore east new years eve

  • really?

  • This is pretty damned good. I'd like to hear the bass doing the V VI (B C#) gospel feel in the verses but it sounds great, and it's a very good capture of the song's essence.

    @fineserverozelle: shut up

  • Nice Job band. Great Jam feel.

  • tasty solo, everything sounds real tight

  • great youve just got it nobody will ever play like hendrix but this guy sures got the feeling only black people can play that way

  • He's asian... and anyhow it's only the skin colour so who cares?

  • this isnt jimi!

  • @jono2690 amen man. we're all just brothers and sisters aren't we?

  • @jono2690 part asian...

  • @jono2690 Hendrix isn't asian...

  • @ledviades I am sorry, that's the most racist thing I have seen today...and I have been monitoring the tea party since I woke up. Music is color blind. If you think my Strat and my Twin have any clue who my ancestors were, you are on more acid than Jimi was. The failure to "feel" a musical style is nothing more than a failure of LISTENING EXPERIENCE. Robert Cray is way less soulful than Keith Richards, for example, and Keef is an Englishman.

  • I so diagree with you even though I see you point. Culture is a hell of a thing. Musically it often dictates and impregnates you with a feel and spirit that is undeniable. I have been on stage and performed with Billy Preston, Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Luther Vandross. I have also been able to work with Grand Funk Railroad, Billy Joel and elton John. . That is extremely noticable when they asre coveryinmg each others work. Not racism - just realism!

  • not tru man

  • with a Telecaster??? shit...

  • Jimi did the original recordings of HEY JOE and PURPLE HAZE on Noels 64´ telecaster, so,,,,there you go.

  • frigging awesome got goose bumps

  • Awesome, keep it up ffs :D

  • fuck off

  • awesome guys! is that the Geddy Lee jazz bass?

  • Yes mate, it's a geddy lee

  • Have a look under your scratch plate see if you got a huge hole drilled out for no reason my california jazz bass has .I was gutted when I saw it I hate modern fenders now, mass produced crap.

  • That's awesome!!! I can't believe how many incredibly great tributes there are to Jimi, and this is certainly one of them too!!!

  • Not bad at all...pretty faithful to the original.

  • man u sound like buddy awesome

  • Extra cool, you cat's are blazing!

  • funky as hell guys. well played

  • very nice cover, i like it

  • fuckers!!! great playing!!! never break up ...u are a great band - players!!!
