Skies of Arcadia is my favorite RPG of all time. It has a wonderful story, a brilliant soundtrack and really nice design! It is simply a work of art. Square Enix has a lot to learn from OverWorks!

I love just the moments in the boss battles when you are wining that changes into a "c'mon you are a valiant one, its already done! go for it!" theme, no game in all history made me feel so much sentiments, Skies of Arcadia FOREVER!

I played this game when it first came out on the Dreamcast. One of the few games that made me cry when I beat it because I didn't want it to end. Greatest rpg of all time IMO.

I hope those rumours about a sequel are true, however it's hard to imagine what they could pull off next. Where would they go to? To another moon? They already conquered every inch of Arcadia!

Yeah, I guess it would be somewhere in the dark rift (because of the black moonstone there) or they could visit every moon PERSONALLY with an advanced Delphinus. The story could also involve a huge threat from outer space, that would be one heck of a sci-fi adventure. Space Pirates anyone? XD

When you said Space Pirates, I thought of Metroid.

But what I meant moreso with the Black Moon is how their should be a Black civilization (or remains) and a Black Gigas.

Though the Dark Rift may end up originating from an antimatter explosion (Black moon can convert negative energy to positive).

There's always the issue of rebuilding the world after the Rains of Destruction. And there could be more to Arcadia than just what we've explored. There's also the remnants of the Black Moon.

i wont be ashamed to say it but i believe this is the best RPG in the world even better than square enix`s final fantasy series,i hate rpg`s nowadays its not turn based anymore i mean stop fucking experiment and give me the old feel of turn base back bloody bastards!

skies was good not because it was groundbreaking but because wasnt. kinda why dragon quest 8 was awsome. Decent Visuals+ old school gameplay= epic win

@Arcadialegends Honestly, I DO like RPGs with turn-based battle systems, and Skies of Arcadia's system is definitely one I really like, but I don't think it's fair to condemn newer RPGs with different, often real-time systems. For example, I'm a real fan of the Tales series, as well. What I WILL say, though, is that it's not fair for developers to overlook turn-based systems simply because they're "old fashioned." Not only do they have their own charm, but you can still do new things with them.

I totally agree. In 2007 it was rumored that sega might release a sequel for PS3 and Wii in the next few years. I'm worried that they might change the fighting style to manual with the Wii though because one of the main reasons I like the game is the automatic strategy type fighting. Either way I'd still buy it if they came out with one.

yeah ive realised that most of the rpgs nowadays have you controlling the characters in fights instead and just press a button to attack i never liked it that way i like issuing commands after every turn because it brings more strategy in the game if there is another skies of arcadia id be really dissapointed if it ruined the original or was developed by a different development company or having the motive of moving the character in fights like till the end of time i hope they dont make like tha

best game ever despite it being underrated,this game deserved more credit than what it was given because to my eyes this is the greatest RPG game ever made,it took away 70 hours of my life and i dont want those hours back.

This music is epic! Often times final boss battles have music that seems depressing or slow. This music really gets your adrenaline pumping and really pulls you into the fight!
