  • those methods are really great, but after cleaning the chain and cassette, my bike will be very dirty..and with a mat carbon frame, the oil or grease is so obvious on it. but good video :=)

  • even the bike need soap and water... :)

  • how did i get here fron looking at dominos

  • i need to keep changing rags to use clean spots lol i have 5 dirty rags

  • Haha @tehsimo comment! Anyone tried an electric tooth brush with Colgate....works wonders!!

  • or you can just spray it all over with carb cleaner or Brake clean, and then hit it with some wd-40 and be done with it.

  • I use an old teethbrush and an oily cloth...no additional cleaning substances, the build-in-lubrication of the chain may lost otherwise. Works well, I´m going about 8000km every year by bike!

  • Nothing beats benzine/gasoline when it comes to cleaning

  • Does it work with dirt bikes

  • Thanks

  • to much time consuming and not good at all i just remove one link from the chain and remove it and dip it in a bowl full of gas(petrolium or gasoline) for 10 min brush it while still in there and it gives a much better finish

  • haha he said lube

  • a lot of mess there, I prefer cleaner methods

  • I bought this cleaner . This video tought me how to use.

  • diesel and gasoline are great for cleaning too.

  • @ogostaboy does gasoline really work!!!!?? Because it would be cool if it works faster and better.

  • wow how much work!!!!!!!!

  • use oxi clean it take tough stain out !

  • @3gBlog. I agree with you. I have a SRAM chain with a power link (master link) which comes of very easily. Just remove the chain and throw it into a container with a degreaser solution. Believe it or not diesel is a good cleaning fluid!

  • How to actually clean a chain without spraying 10 coats of useless shit everywhere. 1. Install master link

    2. Remove chain completely

    3. Fill container with degreaser and place chain inside for a few hours

    4. Coat with appropriate oil

  • whether with Chain Cleaner less dirty rims, but otherwise?

  • damn, my bike is dirtier but better than his

i need to clean it :D

  • after all this oil have you ever a had the chance to brake on the red light?

this is the way to make your bike dirty

  • I don't like spraying these substances all over the bike ... it sprays everywhere.

  • dude you are a mess...nuff said.

  • dude you are a mess...nuff said

  • this bike must been in amazona xD

  • last method is my favorite lol

  • the second bike looks kinda like mine :)

  • If you have disk brakes then I recommend covering them up with a plastic bag or towel before cleaning your bikes chain. I just f**ked mine up :(

  • @yalittleripper haha same here!

  • Much appreciated.

  • is WD-40 good for lubing?

  • dude the stuff they use in the multi degreaser gives you cancers tumors

  • I'm gonna take my bike to the shop and give them money to do this for me. Otherwise I'm going to have to buy more damn gadgets I have no room for, and cans and cans of stuff I can't recycle.

  • I've got a tool like that grunge brush - it's called a toothbrush and it is free coz I've finished brushing teeth with it.

  • Any reason why standard washing-up liquid shouldn't be used (preferably Ecover), rather than expensive 'degreaser's?

  • @kie7077

Any off the shelf degreaser should work fine. However, proper lubrication post degreasing is important. I'm not sure what you mean by "washing-up liquid." Are you talking about dish type soaps and detergents

  • This Video is a f****n Advert for Finish-line products.

Ad claims product contains teflon, The product I use proudly states no Teflon - is Teflon environmentally unfriendly or bad in some other way?

  • Why do you mention: Wipe your chain down with a rag if necessary and if your not going to ride right away make sure your chain is dry and free of degreaser and spray it down "Use Dry Teflon Lube"

My question is what if I'm going to ride the bike? this might be a stupid question but i really don't know much..... by the way great video the best one i found thanks.

  • is this good for a road bike?

  • I have the grunge brush. REALLY HANDY. Also have the chain scrubber. Easily THE BEST chain scrubber I have used!

  • he's sprayin the shit all over his wheel...jeez

  • this is just one massive finish line advert

  • and the environment? with the products they use, and then sends them over the sink?? never heard of recycling?

  • This review was satisfying indeed!

  • Yeah i need the brush too!

  • where do you buy that brush tool? Is it actually needed? great video.

  • Haha what a gimic, a magnet. The chain rings are aluminium which is non-ferrous and hence NON-MAGNETIC. You rip off poofter bastards. Sounds great in theory, in reality its just bullshit.

  • @eaxnitro so why do chains rust if they're ally, you numpty. Ally oxidises and goes a white chalky colour, last time I looked at a rusty chain it was good old iron oxide rust.

  • @mattj79 you must have a cheap shit bike that doesn't use high tensile aluminium alloys but uses good old rusting iron. Dipshit.

  • @eaxnitro I use SRAM chains, dipshit. Chains aren't made of ally you fool. All chains are made of either carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel, either way there's not ally in them. Typical dumb yank, all the gear and no idea.

  • @mattj79 Its not the chain but the chain ring they say in the video leaves steel particles. And even on your fancy SRAM it aint steel, its alloy and so wont get trapped by the magnet. DIPSHIT

  • you dont need all these harsh chemicals when simple dishwashing soap and a toothbrush can make your entire drivetrain look new. then just add lube to keep rust away....

  • thats not clean. ive had an XT groupset which i used for more than a month after purchasing it and it has never looked like it's been used before. and i use less than half of all that degreaser you use. fyi, i was also using finish line.

  • CLEAN BIKE = HIGH PERFORMANCE

  • First time I've seen this done properly...thanks for posting...now I need a chain cleaner! More expense...lol!

  • I need to get that Grunge brush.

  • Can you use brake cleaners or engine degreaser to clean the Derailleur?

  • the last method looks the easiest XD

  • that's one dirty ass bike!!!

  • i like the grunge brush method cleans full set and gets the nasty sticky dirt from the most difficult places

  • Cool video, but washing the grease on the tap at the end makes it very bad for the environment, better to dispose in a sealed bottle into the trash can

  • i use clr and fine grain sand and pour in bucket

  • Can you make a video on adjusting different types of brakes? Tahnks.
