  • @leaualorin

you should take off caps lock. the car isn't that bad on aerodynamics

  • @leaualorin thumbs up well deserved sir :)

  • @Gcalvano514 I second you! haha. 99 percent of them are retarded rants with people who literally know nothing. I mean like blank brain cant even take anything into consideration.

  • Chevrolet wouldn't understand aerodynamics if it got slapped in the face with the engineering textbook. All these open wheel wells slow the car down, limiting top speed and acceleration. The car needs a boat tail and an aerodynamic bottom. If this car and all cars and trucks in America were really weight minimized and aerodynamic, the USA could be exporting oil.

  • @TogetherinParis Considering they build the Chevrolet Corvette, opels, ect. They know more about Aerodynamics more than you do. I bet you think a tonka truck has good aerodynamics. Whatd you do? read a book about and say ive got it? These engineers studied for years to get to where they are now, and they would more than likely scoff at your comment kinda like im doing now.

  • top gear's car was much better, by smashing the air to bits

  • @DroidNoid So can you provide your source about how long the battery will last? I'm curious to know how you've come to that conclusion.

  • yeah it should have good aerodynamics because the body style is a direct copy of the 4 year old acura/civic body design

  • this car is worth the money preatty much to me its worth about 38k well its price will be around 40k. the quality, durability, fuel economy, style, torque, the strong massive build is deffinitly worth the money. and new owners dont forget to check for the protective coting on the undercarridge of the vehicle, if it doesent allready have it costomize it and get it done at most body shops.. this car is worth the money trust me..

  • That's what GM can do - blow smoke!

  • DAT's Right Mang!

  • Chevy has the best areodynamics you can tell by their highway millage

  • @Corvobell You obviously haven't seen many European cars. BMW 320d EfficientDynamics has Cd of 0.26. Volt has 0.281.

BMW also has combined consumption of 4l of diesel / 100km in comparison to Volt, when running on ICE, which is 7l of gasoline / 100km.

  • I'd love the Volt and Ampera to be only electric vehicles without the ICE and instead of the weight if the ICE parts, more battery, which would give more EV range.

  • Then you will have an EV1. The EV1 failed because, even though it had a large battery capacity, it still didn't have "unlimited range" like normal cars do, so people rejected it. The Volt gives the best of both worlds.

Instead of removing the ICE, we should allow battery development to continue and just keep putting longer-range batteries into the future Volt generations.

Eventually we will have the technology (rapid recharge) and infrastructure (charging stations) for pure BEVs.

  • Nevertheless, I would like to have an option to buy ICE-less one. I don't like the idea to drive two powertrains around.

That's why my decision will be either Mitsubishi iMiEV or licensed Citroen or Peugeot one, which should give around 160km range.

I already drive a Vectrix electric maxi scooter and anything above 100km/day is plenty for me and my family's needs. For longer trips, I will drive the 2nd family car, which is ICE Citroen Xsara Picasso.

  • @TranCendenZ That seat what? 2 people? less? a minurature backpack? haha, keep dreaming.
