How do you charge your boost meter while turning like at 0:20? I played this game so much as a kid, thought I was pretty good then but apparently not heh
@CielBlanche its funny i get asked this question all the time, i basically pitch down whilst holding the slide key and turn in, this does reduce your turning but allows for an immidiate boost of the charge

haha! Try out ben! Problem with mars is he is just simply slower than ben! but agreed much better for general handelling. Probably the most easiest adaptable pod in the game
@Mikeyburger3 Yeah, Ben beats Mars by about 300mph. The good part about Mars though, is that his hyper-drive lasts ssooooo much longer than most pods, and since he's so big, he's much less sensitive to bumps and rocks that would normally cancel out the hyper-drive boost.

N64 records are unofficial because people cheat.... so it's unfair... with PC you CAN'T cheat, hence they are official... and anyway what does it matter, I don't see you about to break any records??? just something that needed to be said.

The best never brag, and that's true...don't be dissing on people because they don't understand the game as much as you and rubbing it in their face that they can't compete with your times. That is really damn good. I just started playing this on the N64 again, and the best I have been able to pull off on the course is a 36.31. The best lap record it shows for the race is a 29.537, I have no idea how I did it, could have been my brother, wish I remembered my old strategy
Great!!!! haha 29.537 seconds is absolutely without doubt hands down impossible... being an n 64 there may have been some slight editing to the controls to achieve that time... this issue was bought up when i did the records, the N 64 and PC records I decided were un-compatable together

Yea, I use slide slightly just to keep my speed up but be tight around the bends, but I did use tilting in one or two of my runs, im still not convinced this is the quickest methord, I've written on podracing elite about it!!
