@hitman1css for newer games the quad core will out perform the duel core because newer games are written for more threads! old games might be faster with the duel core.. but i would say that the quad core is faster its like 2.4 x4 compared to 2.8 x2 you know! so you should go for the quad if you want to play the latest games and you can probably over clock it past 2.8 if you have a good heat sink

gtx285's ahve quad sli support, but this video card I think it would be 3 ati cards in cross fire X and a nvidia card for physx. this car is kinda old too so who knows, some older graphics cards used single slots, you could have fit four cards in one pc

Thats awesome! AMD is really good! I just got an AMD Athlon x4 620 :D Upgraded over a really old dual core x2 4850e XD AND wow my games got alot more frames! Quad core is really awesome! I OC this baby to 3.1ghz :D runs crysis maxed out very high dx10 1280x1024! AMD is now my choice forever screw intel! Once I saw the 1000$ Core i7 from Intel I was like man who is gonna buy that lol The most expensive amd quad right now is I beilve 200$ to 250! I got my 620 for $100! talk about money saving! :D

well i recommend AMD, try the AMD 720x3 Black edition (AMD 720x3@3.1Ghz out performs the E8400@3.9GHz) also (go on pcwizkids review) of the AMD 720x3 its a cool CPU, idle around 23C if i remember right.
