This song was written by a Jamaican Name Jackie Edwards for Producer Chis Blackwell that gave the world Bob Marley. Also chk out "Someone Help Me" by the same Jamaican writter.... Both songs were number one UK hits for this Group.
You gotta dig that sweet guitar lead through this tune ... it's like butter, I always wished there were more of it, but then again the restrained quality of that excellent lead may be part of it's appeal. It's a great rock n' roll lead guitar, but it's unfortunately pretty obscure.
Great song. It has always been my favourite Spencer Davis track, since it first came out. Saw Spencer Davis himself sing this in Woking in the 1980s. Different voice tone from Stevie Winwood, but he did a great job of it. It was an excellent concert, and although eclipsed by Stevie Winwood, Spencer Davis was excellent too.
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.
Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
@beatleboy123 Yeah, he was a reggae artist, also. However because his songs dealt with less revolutionary subjects than people like bob marley he remains more famed in the public eye for his songwriting. He is my inspiration :-)

Jackie Edwards was revered by Mods and the "Rhythm & Soul" crowd for "I Feel So Bad" on Island, now regarded as a Soul classic.

@beatleboy123 Jackie Edwards wrote Keep On Runing as well, but Steve Winwood has a great voice, he was only 18 when he recorded this.
