  • 0:12 next pick up a Human and rip their head off... argh!!!

  • @Films4You hahahahaha! i tought the same thing xD

  • I want this video on my neoTouch P300 phone.

  • A replicator...quick call Jack O'Neil !

  • I wonder what the person who designed it was thinking.

    The whole world hates spiders

-LETS MAKE A ROBOT THAT IS LIKE AMOTHER FUCKING SPIDER, THATS WHAT EVERYONE EVER WANTED!

  • I love how the Japanese, make use of their hi tech researches on helping the population, instead of other countries which would use it as a machine war. Greetings from Argentina.

  • It looks so cute while lifting the teddy bear, but also looks creepy walking on the ceiling.

  • ha,they made this into a toy. XD

  • А работать он тоже умеет?

  • aaah! beautiful! i want one, no two, no, twenty!

  • а вот как бы ему ещё пулемётов нацеплять)

  • Cool but way to slow and unnatural moving, it needs to be more efficient if its ever going to be applied to anything meaningful, otherwise its just a "cool experiment".

  • That's pretty cool

  • So all that work... and you couldnt make it wireless? or is it wireless but your just using a cord for some other reason?

  • @rusho2nd it's just a beta version.....is not full completed.....it's obisly....

  • @MrGara1994

Even if it is beta, its 2011, its not hard to make it wireless from the get go.

  • @rusho2nd It seems that there's one cable that's always plugged, most likely the power supply. The other cable seen in this video (white box/blue cable) may not be required and looks like a JTAG cable

  • @GFmanaic

Hmm, so then it doesnt have a sufficient on board power supply? or was this just for demonstration?

  • @rusho2nd I think it can run on battery but the autonomy would be too short for the demo.

  • oh my god!!! a replicator, someone shoot it before it kills off the asgard!!!

  • anyone else thinking that one day this will be created many times it's size and be an all-terrain tank, a Metal Gear (in a sense)?

  • @RangeTE17 As Wild Wild West showed us, giant steam-powered spiders are badass, but not practical.

  • I can see these things handling custodian duties, in addition to military and search & rescue missions...Very cool. It should be called "Hexcrabot."

Imagine these things had mines attached to them and a 100 or so were deployed onto a battlefield...scary!

  • How is the system control with the legs working?

  • Destroy it before it replicates itself!

  • lol if you step on it, does it curl up and fall over like a bug? XD

  • That's cool and all, but bigdog, alphadog, and petman would kick its ass.

  • in all seriousness some one could take over the world with this crap.imagine japan 10 years later with life size robots and stuff all it takes is one person to infect them all with some crazy virus that makes them kill people =/

  • no!! not the dog!!

  • This is the exact same spider from the 007 game!

  • great!!

  • The Grudge!!!

  • it's actually kinda cute xD

  • 8x speed and still slow as balls

  • Reminds me the spiders from command and conquer red alert II

  • creepy

  • Reminds me of spiders.

  • Mecha version of Facehuggers from Aliens.

  • Reminds me of the spider mines in UT2004.

  • OMG SCREAMERS

  • that brick wall wasn`t real......i wonder if the robot is real though

  • im throwing money at the screen... WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING?!

  • Tachikoma from GITS :)

  • shit bra that thing does cart wheels @,@

  • X-ATMO92: The Early Days

  • @Shinjeez wonder who else would get that?

  • Could you build a Tachikoma with this?

  • Technology's great, but if I saw that coming towards me I'd stamp it into hell.

  • Japonlar yine yapmış abi

  • Inb4reallifeDr.Octopus

  • but does it suk yur dik?

  • 0:44 CAN'T TOUCH THIS!

  • Now scale it up!

  • @Mouzerr - And scale it down multiple times to create networks of various sized nodes to handle different tasks and to coordinate for larger tasks. Imagine a larger version deploying tens of these. Then each one of these allowing tens of smaller ones to crawl out and around to do... whatever.

  • Give it claws!

  • Remins me Ghost in the Shell's Tachikoma

  • @PocholoMaricon hmmmm, dont see how you could think that..

  • @PocholoMaricon I would want one to go to work everyday.

  • @PocholoMaricon damn you remind me when they died :(

  • my worst nightmare.......mechanical spiders!!!!!!

  • seems kinda impractical

  • Imagine a 1k foot version of this collecting humans lol

  • Reminds me of the simcity alien. Good stuff.

  • Dear Santa.....

  • FF8's X-ATM092 :D

  • OMG! That thing just ate a dog! 0:22

  • @fireaza u got factual prove that souls exist?

  • Doctor octopus? or Metal gear solid? just ad a technique that makes it minimize and expand like Transformers, or how about fly/hover through the air UFO!!!!

  • One step closer to have Tachikomas.

  • we've just spent 10 million creating this electronic spider, it will be able to go into dangerous places and do all sorts of investigation.....just AS LONG as there is this guy holding the remote control connected BY WIRES 2 a couple of feet behind. Ever heard of wireless?? losers...

  • @randomPosterChannel

stupid remark. Did you like the colour?

  • @randomPosterChannel this were demonstrated at some kind of technician fair. there would be too much static and interferences to work wireless.

  • HEADCRAB!

  • I sure wasn't expecting the cartwheel. That's novel.

  • looks like those robot spiders in the movie "minority report"

  • Show it moving un-tethered, and then I'll be impressed.

  • future tanks prototipes.. great job..¬¬

  • Replicators 2:1 Humans

  • ''Wild Wild West''

  • What? if he bite me imma be a robot spiderman ;D

  • Not even wireless?

  • Pretty sick!

  • Very impressive. However I'm pretty sure if I saw it coming at me I would punt it... I hate spiders

  • @hutch2493 No worries, it only have 6 legs :)

  • @AX53B60 Fair enough. But you cant tell me this same device in toy story with the doll head didnt make you piss your pants everytime it crawled out from under the bed

  • @hutch2493 Good point. It was one of the more disturbing moments in toy story :P

  • What I don't like is that it feels like every company is developing their own version of robotics, as opposed to them all working together to create on advanced on. :/

  • @1MadVirus1 thats how u advance robotics lol

  • @FrostGibbon WEll no, because that means that they will develope movement and coordination all simultaneously, instead of doing all the research into one perfect movement system.

  • @1MadVirus1 No such thing as a perfect movement system, just like there's no perfect car or computer. Competition keeps everyone pushing it to the next level. If your product is better than everyone else's people will pay big bucks for it.

  • Very nice. But it should be wireless :D

  • @TheJysN Maybe they have been in the lab so long... they werent aware of that technology.

  • 1:00 umm as far as i know, spiders dont have wheels

  • @spam1712

Oh but spiders have a metallic skeleton though, right?

  • Replicators from Stargate!!!!

  • @neuroleptics First thing i thought too :D

  • @neuroleptics

Jack O'Neill made 6 YouTube accounts to dislike this video.

    The replicators must be destroyed.

  • Its a bit shaky, do you feed it coffee?

  • gost in the shell is for tomorrow

  • I can totally see this being used, like the anime "ghost in the shell"

  • That is a very kick ass design. However, I'd like to see how well it runs if it's powered by a battery (right now its fed by an external power source via the black and red wires). The extra weight of the battery can be very significant.
