i think the country should give talents jobs and money, they have skill but no fix work. when street music are a job cause it makes people happy they should get "help" as a job from the city. sry my english is bad... i hope you know what i mean.
hey man I think its really cool that this guy can like make music with just buckets ya know man-and ppl out there cant even make good music with record labels ya know what im saying man ?
just for all the haters, i street perform. on buckets. im 17 years old and i know most of the guys out here who do it. (in seattle) some are homeless. others arent. but regardless, on a good day i can make anywhere from 30 to 60 dollars an hour. you can believe it or not its true. thats better than any job in the world when youre not college educated. homeless people street performing is one of the coolest things ive ever seen. they arent begging. they are working. and doing what they love.
@zkarp i respect that. most people that are homeless or just arent educated very well sit around and beg for money but i have seen street performers in a lot of places. new york, seattle, chicago, los angelas, san fransisco, etc... these people understand that things arent going to be handed to them so they work hard for their money. and after talking to a lot of them i found that most of them enjoy what they do so its really a win win situation. getting paid to do what you love. nothing better.
@zkarp hey im 14 and in the seattle-ish area, any tips to getting started on bucket drumming? been drumming for a while and want to get some extra cash since i LOVE drumming.
Wow, guys. I love how everyone assumes these street drummers are homeless. They probably have houses and family, they just street perform because they enjoy it.
It's not about the fact that he can or can't afford a drum set. It's the fact that this man is creative and talented enough to do something like using ordinary household items to create music. All of you who are telling him to go get a job are fucking retarted, cause in case you didn't realize jobs are going to shit right now. Maybe he doesn't want fame, he just loves doing that. And as for that racist bitch down there, i would love to see her do something half as creative.
Maybe if he got off his ass and actually work, he would actually bye himself a real drum set instead of cheap ass buckets. Thats why talents like Jonas Brothers did and now where they are, making millions instead of making pennys like this hack.
@MainstreamROCKS323 He was probely doing it for fun and trying to earn a little cash. Not everyone are like Jonas brother and can afford expensive drum sets

you people are impressed very easily if you think this guy is good. My bf plays in a metal band and would make this baboon look like a complete amateur. This sambo should stick with what he knows best, collecting welfare, smoking crack and acting like a simian.
@aurexgirl Referring to an African-American person as a "baboon" and "simian" makes you come across as incredibly unintelligent. Especially seeing as African-Americans are almost completely responsible for the styles of music we see today. Metal is derived from rock, which is derived from blues, which was created by African-Americans in South America at the end of the 19th century.
Man, he is a artist. So many talented people in the world around there and even using bucket stuffs, using things that they find out on streets or on the trash can's from other people, using your talent for getting some bit of food.

He wouldn't want it. He is a performance artist, and bucket drumming is a legitimate form. Saying a really good bucket drummer should be able to use commercial drums is like saying a really good mime would graduate into opera if they could afford vocal lessons.

There's no such thing as a cool bucket drummer.
He could turn those buckets over and fill them with pork 'n beans then feed the homeless.
Quit encouraging this hobo bum to make a racket and garner more attention.
Somebody give him a dictionary or encyclopedia and help him lift himself out of street poverty gibberish existence.
Somebody convert this man to making an honest living doing something for humanity, like serving mashed potatos in an old folks home.
