  • @SlyNicolai The typical German eagle is black on a gold shield, but I once read that it was not so fixed in the 12th/13th century when heraldry was developed and that this combination occurred... the Prussian eagle looks a bit different, but you're right. It's basically the same.

  • @fatjack2b Yah, by the end gunpowder had been invented. That's why you can use cannons, and I suppose therefore, fireworks.

  • his holy imperial majesty aka hitler

  • That was a small book for the mightiest Roman Empire.

  • @MessiahComing It is bigger then the bible...

  • ahh, this brings back the memories ^^. Though, somehow I think the first scene was originally meant to be the clip to be played when a new emperor has been crowned :P

  • Only the rebels have enough balls to say," You are not my Kaiser".

  • @GPunktmod spinner...

  • @GPunktmod dude if hitler tried his nazi shit in medieval times he'd be hanged for treason

  • how long it take ou to win?

  • deutschland ftw

  • peasents *warcry*

  • Actually, i think that the Kaiser(emperor) who founded the Holy Roman Empire, sought to create a NEW Roman empire, the continuation of the Western Roman Empire. Because the Roman Empire(in BC period) carried an eagle, and the HRE took that eagle and made it theyre logo, even the Nazi's symbol, the eagle has refferance to the Holy Roman and Roman Empires

  • @MedievalGaming

In Medieval times the people believed that the Armageddon will come if the Roman Empire will fall. There is a story about that in the bible that there will be 4 huge Empires and if the fourth of it falls (Roman Empire) the Armageddon will come. So the Germans, first the French (Karl the Great who was the first Emperor of Western Rome after the fall of it during the Barbarian Invasions.

The German Empire wasn't called so. Untill "Friedrich Barbarossa" It was only the Roman Empire

  • @Philkee08 Charlemagne wasn't French. He was a Frank which was a Germanic people.

  • @MacX1985

Sorry if I hadn't told it good enough.. my english isn't the best.. so the Frank were Germans.. and the french became their name from this people :)

    I hope you're understanding my words..^^

  • @Philkee08

yes, actually the Franks were Germans, but they learned Latin (throught the church I guess) and eventually became the French people we know.

  • @tmsods

And so they splitted up with the germans ;)

  • @tmsods Not quite. The people of the Western Frankish kingdom used to speak Romanic dialects since they were part of the ancient Roman Empire. The frankish nobility in this region adopted their language while in the East (Germany) the continued speaking Germanic dialects. The latin word for the Frankish kingdom was Francia which later turned to "France".

  • @Philkee08 first part is right. Later one fiction. Carolus Magnus was King of Austrasia and only spoke a german tongue. And he was Frank. So 3/3 German. France got their Name from the Franks because it was ruled by Frankish Kings for long and was the biggest Land-Take they did. Modern tests show that less then 10% of French people are even possible to be decendend from german blood. The haplogroup of the average frensh man is the pre-celtic B1 (basques) and not the baltic-germanic one.

  • ? read the post and get over yourself or shut the fuck up. Iam not caring for your complexes. Iam answering on a post and corrected a claim which wasnt correct. Of course you can say black people are mexicans in your private life if you want. But changing history and making german people french, is a serious problem with everybody that gives a damn about correctness.

  • @MedievalGaming

As I said, they don't wanted to form a new Roman Empire, they wanted to be the old one. Actually Roman Empire still existed but it was orthodox (byzantine Empire) and because of this Catholics didn't accepted the East Roman Empire to follow. Germans only were strong enough to rush through Italy after they beat Barbarians from Hungary .. was a huge battle near Augsburg in Bavaria.

Nazis.. they wanted to form a "third Empire".. after SRING (First german empire) and the 2. falled

  • @Philkee08 HRE started to exist in 802 AD a few years after the first schizm -there were two schizms befor e the original in 1054- whem the Pope wanted to find a "counter-Emperor" to the "Byzadine" Roman emperor -But after Carolus coronation the "schizm" was over .

  • @Philkee08 In fact at some time of Carolus Magnus' regime the Byzadine Emperor used to be a woman -"Eirini h Athinaia"- and there was a plan to marry those two -Carolus and Eirini- to unify the Roman Empire once again. But she was overthroned before it happened!!!

  • did they already have fireworks during that time ? o.O

  • @TwilightLink293

I don't know abotu Europe (which is strange, cuz I'm from Hungary), but i know that the Chinese had fireworks since b.c. 500

  • Depends on the year, I think Marco Polo brought fireworks from China in the 15th century.

  • ah ok thx ^^

  • no, but they had cannons and guns.... of course they did

  • Yes. gunpowder got to Europe around 1240AD if I'm not mistaken. One of gunpowder's first uses was in fireworks, in China.

  • @RomanianWarrior007, stole? Im not getting defensive or anything and i dont want to start an arguement, but would that mean they conquered it?

  • well hungarians and romanians are pretty similar, even through they hated eachother...

  • because there were no roman faction in medieval...onyl eastern roman empire also called byzantine

  • yes

  • More with Dutch Swiss Belgians Austrians Parts of France and North Italy and Silesia and Pomenaria

  • more or less, The Holy Roman Empire was so big it was more then modern day Germany but yes, that's where they came from.

The Empire included Northern Italy, Bulgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg,North and East France, west Poland, Germany itself and more.

  • Yup

  • Heil the Kaiser!!

  • No.

  • No?

  • Yes. No.

  • LOL

  • Lol, I'm playing as the Holy Roman Empire, fighting a war with poland, while Russia does the same.

  • Same here. The polish are always the first to start a fight. And the same thing happened to me in ETW too (Playing as Austrians)

  • Yeah, but I'm the aggressor :D

  • Pssh me too!

And now Saxony is in on it >:(

  • i don't like Holy Roman Empire, tath is good Kingdom, i know, but i always kill they in the start :D this movie is in everyvone fractions - in poland, venece, spais, england...........

  • @Huigar clear that you are polish

  • Holy Roman Empire

  • very good video thanks for sharing....

  • For much of its history the Empire consisted of hundreds of smaller sub-units, principalities, duchies, counties, Free Imperial Cities, as well as other domains. Despite its name, for much of its history the Empire did not include Rome within its borders.

  • yer the pop just called it the holy roman empire cose thye saved him

  • rome where the papel states dude

  • Other territories included present-day Germany (except Southern Schleswig), Austria (except Burgenland), Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Slovenia (except Prekmurje), as well as significant parts of modern France (mainly Artois, Alsace, Franche-Comté, Savoie and Lorraine), Italy (mainly Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and Alto Adige-South Tyrol), and Poland (mainly Silesia, Pomerania, and Neumark).

  • yeah all of that is right...........but also the Prussians were from German families that move into norther Poland and make their own Empire......but they come from the Holy Roman Empire..........just imagine the Holy Roman Empire unify into one king and with the Prussians.........no Napoleon then hehe

  • @LangobardorumEtrusco The HRE wasn't exactly a geographical term. You can say they came from Germany as a region. In medieval times the HRE existed only when there was an emperor or a king at least.

  • The Empire's territorial extent varied over its history, but at its peak it encompassed the Kingdom of Germany, the Kingdom of Italy and the Kingdom of Burgundy.

  • It was officially known as the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation (German: Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nation, Latin: Sacrum Romanum Imperium Nationis Germanicæ) from the 16th century onwards.

  • The Holy Roman Empire (HRE; German: Heiliges Römisches Reich (HRR), Latin: Sacrum Romanum Imperium (SRI) was a union of territories in Central Europe during the Middle Ages and the Early Modern period under a Holy Roman Emperor. The first Holy Roman Emperor was Otto the Great in 962. The last was Francis II, who abdicated and dissolved the Empire in 1806 during the Napoleonic Wars.

  • sight, i remember the first time i won ^^
