  • this is awesome!

  • What's that 3rd spice you're using?

  • how about if i try some tequila instead of vodka.. :) .. ill let you know it came out on monday

  • had it for dinner last night. it was PHENOMINAL!!

  • did this recipe with moonshine even better

  • at 0:46 whats that spice?

  • no i can't smell that :(

    i wish i could :(

  • Damn it that was hot. I just made this sauce, and it´s soooooo freaking hot.

Followed your recipe exactly. The vodka really brings forth the cayenne and chili flavors.

Gonna use this in mild doses.

  • Why did you use white sugar in this sauce and brown sugar in the jalapeno sauce?

  • cfh2558

I guess, it would take just fine or maybe better :P

Why don't you try it out for us?

  • I just wonder how many oz that cup are.

Or how much "your" cup are in oz?

Plesase send me a reply, like to use the recipe when the summer stikes and the grill coming out :P

  • Smirnoff=premium now?

  • you put a little more than a table spoon on that 1st sauce as some of it fel into the pot

  • I use brandy but vodka sounds good

  • Vodka is useful in that it has almost no flavor on it's own, so all it does is enhance the other ingredients.

Brandy would bring some extra flavor to the party... so that's good!

  • Have you tried REAL schnapps from Austria? It's about as strong as white lightning, and the cinnamon variety is amazing in this...

  • Thank you God for Pit Boys BBQ recipes!

  • Great recipe..can't wait to try it on my crockpot bbq brisket! Looks a tad heavy on the salt...what do you Pitboys think?

  • I wonder how this sauce woudl taste if they used whiskey instead.

  • Hot dayum! add more vodka!!!

  • BBQ-pit boy Thanks for the inspiration . Sure looks good . I'm really hungry after watching these great videos . Let's light the fire .

  • Well hot damn

  • gracias por sus sabross recetas amigos

  • would this recipe work with bourbon? i realise it wont taste the same, i just hope to make both as to compare. cheers!

  • different taste for sure. give it a try with some of that kentucky brew and get back to us! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • this is great I love all your videos you guys really inspire me thanx!!

  • Hey Pitboys, in what recipes do you recomend using this Vokda BBQ Sauce instead of using the Original BBQ Sauce?

    Thx!

  • hey lordstepalize, this vodka sauce goes well on most any barbecue, -pork, chicken, beef.....caution, it has a kick and too much of it can get you a DUI! (: -BBQ Pit Boys

  • good bourbon would go great! does anyone have cooking tips for pork shoulder?

  • boiledhooker, we do a 'low and slow" pork butt for pulled pork. check it out! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • This is great. I've been doing some experiments with bbq sauces, never added vodka for flavor. I am gonna try that. Maybe whisky? Keep up the good work BBQ Pit Boys!

  • ive used many differentypes of hard liquier its very tasty

  • Just a quick question for you BBQ Pit Boys. When you make all of your sauces and you use ketchup, does that ketchup end up turning into a different flavor? I'm not to the BBQ scene but definitely interested in starting up making my own sauce, but I just want to make sure that when you make the BBQ sauce with ketchup, the sauce doesn't come out tasting like ketchup. Keep up the great vids! Loving every single one of 'em!

  • good question, UndeadCircus. Many Pit Masters in competition use ketchup as the basis for their sauce. It saves a lot of time stewing tomatoes for a thick sauce. Use a good brand, add your spices, and you will be pleased. -BBQ Pit Boys

  • would tomatoe paste work?

  • wow, sounds wonderful, I'd never thought of adding Vodka before. I'll make this. Love that little pot, is it a Lodge?

speaking of mashed potatoes, ever cook potatoes on the grill or smoker?

  • hey eckankar, just an import black iron. Potatoes peeled, halved, roasted indirect at about 350f with some garlic butter baste is as good as eating gets off the Q! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • ever tried just a pinch of instant coffee in the sauce..it does wonderful things :)

  • you guys effing rawk

  • This is GOOD STUFF!!! A word of advice-Don't try to save the $ and try cheap vodka-It just isn't the same. I adjusted my batch a little by adding some onion powder (What can I say, I just like onion) and replaced the sugar with Steen's pure cane syrup. (1/8 cup). Pure cane syrup is easy to find here in Cajun country, and is more tart than maple syrup. AWESOME on some St. Louie ribs......

  • like your version for sure, duster413. Whenever we make this sauce it gets rave reviews even before they know the ingredients. And you're right about using premium vodka. We used a premium Polish Vodka called Sobieski. It's the rye grass and triple filtered distilling perhaps....-BBQ Pit Boys

  • amazing.................i realy love this sauce

gracias chicos! esperando una nueva parrillada!

    spanish.

  • how long will the sauce last in the fridge ?

  • just saw the answer above, thanks

  • his voice is good and low.

  • Wow, Very Very good sauce..

My god this is something else!

I made a little for some chops.. and man next sunday im having some friends over.. they will love this.

  • This stuff is addictive, I have a batch sitting in my fridge right now. Vodka BBQ sauce....man it don't get much better than that

  • hey jerseyirish, amen brother. There's some magic in this sauce for sure. Hard to explain until you make a batch. Makes any q better. And anyone you serve it to wants the recipe. Much obliged -BBQ Pit Boys

  • What can I replace vodka with Im only 18 and I cant buy alcohol.

  • hey t2darlantan2, we have some other bbq sauce recipes here on the Tube. Check'm out. -BBQ Pit Boys

  • How about some whisky instead of vodka? Also can you tell me what is whisky oil and have you used it in any of your recipes? Thank you for GREAT videos and recipes! I really enjoy watching them, greetings from Finland.

  • hey Akti03, Sure you can use whiskey but it will change the taste of this sauce for sure. Add some Turkey, or Jack to get that oak barrel bite or some Canadian or Scotch for a smoother taste. Yahooo, pass me some of that turkey sauce!! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • damn u should have a restaurant down here in miami fl so i can go n taste ur bbq man ur ribs is one of my fav hahaha

  • how long is it ok to keep it in the fridge before it goes bad?

  • hey LucLeFou, we use up the sauce pretty quickly so i can't give you a good answer. But storing in a glass bottle for several months in a refrigerator should not be a problem because of the acidity in the sauce! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • Question: Can I use some tequila instead of Vodka? If I could, do I have to change any quantity or to substitute any ingedient?

  • hey conodelamadreputa, sure you can but remember tequila has a much more pronounced flavor and may dominate the flavor of the sauce. I've never used tequila in this recipe so i can't give you any suggestions on changing the ingredients. Try it with a small batch and tweak it to your liking. Let us know how it turns out. Sound like a winner. -BBQ Pit Boys

  • What is the first spice you put in ? It sounds like you say ground cupid. Im from Denmark and I need to know whats in it, so I can find something, almost like it. Unfortunatly, we dont have the same wide range of spices you have.

Im really looking forward to try this sauce.

  • hey bluenezumi, it's called cumin, or in this case it's ground cumin seeds. It should be available in Denmark since it's a common spice used in the Near East, India, Greece. It has a distinctive flavor and strong aroma. It is usually included in many Barbecue recipes here in the States. -BBQ Pit Boys

  • what i really like about this bbq sauce is that you get to have a few vodka collins while you're waiting for the sauce to finish simmering. thanks bbq pit boys

  • hey pitboys!

Wonderfull recipe and very atmospheric music!

    Real bbq-feeling in your video!

I´m just make your BBQ-Sauce and on later afternoon i´m goint to make your chickenbreasts. It looks so mouthwatering amazing...

    greez from southbavaria!

  • That just sounds so good! Beats any store bought sauces, bar none :) (I wonder if you could substitute whiskey for the vodka, and if so, would you need to change for sugar?) We luvs the BBQ pit boys!

  • hey Lasiedaoc, you're on to it. Use a good Whiskey and cut the sugar. -BBQ Pit Boys
