Actually Power Rangers is an english adaptation of it's original Japanese counter part Super Sentai which originally aired about 1976 or so, and if anything that and the original Casshern may be somewhat modeled on Kamen Rider which aired a prior 5 years before Sentai and 2 years prior to the original Casshern......... I know you probably just don't care, but it's a pet peeve of mine sorry.

No I'm just a Tokusatsu weeaboo, unfortunately I have too much free time if anything. Casshern Sins greatly resemble it's original 1973 version rather than the edgier 2003 movie version is because hell it's "retro" I mean 1970's Japanese super hero Goranger type of retro (Which is essentially defeating monsters and villains with only gymnastics and a dynamic entry style kick). I wouldn't be surprised if Neo Human Casshern was an early anime play on Kamen Rider.

Pretty much a standard collection of Japanese Sci-Fi drama series that birthed many things such as Power Rangers and Salior Moon. All the Power Rangers till now are actually english adaptations of their original Japanese Super Sentai series.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was based on Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Which by japanese television standards were definitely more graphic and had a much deeper plot then anything you usually see in american children televsion.

@cybrog9 im 19, you know i do remember watching a bit of power rangers as a kid around 6, but around 7 dbz replaced that, and then at 13 i was done with anything japanese for awhile UNTIL...i met this guy who showed me how pimp anime had gotten in the last 2 years (i was 15) and now im in to things like afro samurai, casshern sins, sword of the stranger, anything with good animation. however, i also hate japanese comedy, high schoolers, girls with GINORMOUS boobs, and anything with fillers.

I pretty much had the same history, though around 15 or so I was kinda fed up with the slow pace many anime was taking with the constant fillers. Also reality shows were plaguing american television at the time I was looking for something new.

Around then I came across Tokusatsu japanese drama, and believe me I was surprised with the quality of their series, which may be far more well written then your usual teenage sitcom.

I'd LOOOOVE to get this anime and live action, but they're both in Japanese. I don't have anything against that, but I'd rather just watch the whole thing without out having to read what they're saying and watching the action at the same time.....and for all the "smart allecks" here, YES, I can actually do both! :-)

When I saw the show I thought wow if capcom ever gave the ok to make a Megaman Zero or Megaman ZX anime they should definitely get the guys who made Casshern SINS to make them. I mean the Zero or ZX Characters in this style would be really bad ass IMO

@Torch666 Actually, some of the character designs in Megaman are hugely influenced by Casshern and other anime by Tatsonoko. Google Quickman and you'll see what I mean.

While i'm usually a dub first then sub next kind of dude most of the time, i'm going the other way around for this one only because Tohru Furuya (Yamcha in DB/DBZ & Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon) & Yuko Minaguchi (Videl & Pan in DBZ/DBGT & Hotaru/Mistress 9/Sailor Saturn in Sailor Moon) are involved in it as main characters.

Here's hoping this sells well with the Tatsunoko Vs Capcom US fandom. We need some more Tatsunoko anime brought over here involving characters from the game
