This is a number that anyone with a deep love for music and who doesn't actually sing off-pitch can make sound good, because the music is so celestial. All voices sing it, regardless which range it was written for. Very good. For me, however, de los Angeles and Wunderlich are unsurpassable here...as they are just about everywhere.

It's acctually marked with the tempomarking: Larghetto. When it's preformed without a singer its acctually called Händel' Largo for some wierd reson! xD Great singing anyway. Really sweet voice!

Well if you make some research you will find out that many male vocalists (baritones, tenors) sing it too. You should check out my other video in which I performed it recently during our yearly audition, I think it is better... :)

this piece is actually for a mezzo or soprano castrato originally, but now the best renditions are usually by mezzos and baritones.
