I saw an interview where Clapton said he can't play some things like he used to, but when he plays with the class that made him famous he doesn't really need to worry about slowing down. There are some seriously cool moments in this.

@jriverband exactly what I said. Clapton was FAMOUS and JAMMIN before Hendrix. Not saying JH wasn't good at that time, and yes he started around similiar time maybe yr earlier. But EC became famous with that yardbirds album. JH did not become famous or jam a lot in 1963-64

But I'm happy to listen to either one any day and I would love to see them play together at a major Slide Jam. Sonny credits Duane with inspiring him to go for a bigger sound; even has a piece of the shirt he wore in the studio during the Layla album. If there was a fantasy slide summit jam, I'd love to hear Duane, Sonny, Derek, Roy Rogers, Camile Baudoin [of the Radiators], John Mooney and Ry Cooder :o)

Wicked! I already have the two previous editions and I have never been disappointed!
The first one was really eclectic (even if many more musicians played and many had just one song featured), the second was more Blues-oriented.
I wonder how this one will sound like.
