  • kinda cool. dennis hopper is teaching you how to set traps

  • I made this the other day and got a squirrel with it. Its awesome!

  • I have found that this trap can work with as a deadfall too

  • 0 people don't like, i never saw this on youtube! O.o

  • my father used a similar trap but my father used bamboos.

  • it looks like you carved grooves in these, can you explain and show that as well for those of us who are new~ thank you!

  • this is Hmong style trap. I did this all the time when I was young.

  • Amazing. Headed to that area. Been looking for this info on your other vids and here's a several all in one spot. I'll get the book. Very helpful. Thanks.

  • my dad's from Laos, and he taught me how to make a trap like that one, i caught a ground squirrel with it.

  • this made me LAWL, the trap looks so shitty! doubt it would work to be fair. damn hicks!

  • When you were adjusting the reverse figure 4, what was that you were saying? "Why is that not.." What was that? Haha ..just keepin' it real Dave. :)

Good to see you're back posting vids man!

  • how come i don't see the Mora SL2 i believe its called on your website anymore?

  • could you put an old ax head on the end

  • i made a very similar trap to this except mine uses some cordage to pull back the spring on its self but basicaly the same thing. its in my play list if you want to see it. i was foolin around after watching crtr's ojibwe dead fall video and came up with it...

  • @FixedByDoc Nice

  • looks like you could add teeth to hold larger pray on that.

  • Damn, I like that trap! I can already see a lot of great variations available.

  • Dave, have you ever thought of putting a flat rock or some other hard surface underneath the trap? I think that it would definately increase the effectiveness of the trap. Happy Thanksgiving.

  • Awesome vid Dave, happy turkey day to you Mrs. C, Critter and crew!

  • Is it spring in OH? USA is so advanced, they can even choose the season :D

    Grat video, Dave.

  • That's an interesting trap...

I was thinking though.. if you put a spring type trap on either side of it. When a larger anime hops over it BOOM. up they go.

  • Hey dave you still working on dual survival?

  • Humm nice!

reminds me of that spring trap in the First Blood movie

  • Freaking awesome!

  • basically same system with the 4 figure trap with a stone or any other weight on top that delivers the kill. its a good system, easy to mass produce :)

    great vid

  • very good trap & it's very to see u back dave

  • Great vid, Dave. I feel like this particular trap style is probably a higher probability trap and more akin to a survival situation. Always happy to get your material.

  • sick shit its good to see you back!!!

  • Oh its good, Dave is back!

  • @DudeNumberOnePlus its allwase good to see dave back me and you both brother

  • Are these new videos?

  • Sweet trap! Did you learn that in Asia? And if so, were you in Asia for vacation or were you shooting a new season of Dual Survivor? =)

  • @Dbot101 I learned it from Laos! During Season 1 Filming

  • @wildernessoutfitters Well thanks for the vids, you give out great info! Can't wait for season 2.

  • @wildernessoutfitters theres no way dave actually talks on youtube to viewers

  • @Dbot101 probably learned it during military outings

  • @wkc89 Thanks, but apparently Dave learned it during Season 1 Filming. And just in case you don't get a response about the Youtube comments. Dave may be a celebrity, but he's still just a regular guy, albeit a highly skilled one. He very active when he's not filming by shooting vids like this one as well as advertising most of his outdoorsman products. I'm not gonna speak on his half on what he does on youtube, but I do know he and his company cares and are willing to teach all their fans.

  • @Dbot101 theres no way he goes on youtube and reads comments that just does not happen sorry to burst some bubbles around here

  • @wkc89 Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I just believe he does after being a long time subscriber to this channel and seeing how he actually responds to some requests made on the comments sections by doing a video about it. You make it seem like he never has time or is too conceited to care about his fans to spend 30 seconds to read a few comments, oh well, good day.

  • I live in Mississippi and I love making traps, and 9 times out of 10 I catch a opossum in almost every trap

  • Nice.
