Amazing. Headed to that area. Been looking for this info on your other vids and here's a several all in one spot. I'll get the book. Very helpful. Thanks.
i made a very similar trap to this except mine uses some cordage to pull back the spring on its self but basicaly the same thing. its in my play list if you want to see it. i was foolin around after watching crtr's ojibwe dead fall video and came up with it...
Dave, have you ever thought of putting a flat rock or some other hard surface underneath the trap? I think that it would definately increase the effectiveness of the trap. Happy Thanksgiving.
basically same system with the 4 figure trap with a stone or any other weight on top that delivers the kill. its a good system, easy to mass produce :)
Great vid, Dave. I feel like this particular trap style is probably a higher probability trap and more akin to a survival situation. Always happy to get your material.
@wkc89 Thanks, but apparently Dave learned it during Season 1 Filming. And just in case you don't get a response about the Youtube comments. Dave may be a celebrity, but he's still just a regular guy, albeit a highly skilled one. He very active when he's not filming by shooting vids like this one as well as advertising most of his outdoorsman products. I'm not gonna speak on his half on what he does on youtube, but I do know he and his company cares and are willing to teach all their fans.
@wkc89 Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I just believe he does after being a long time subscriber to this channel and seeing how he actually responds to some requests made on the comments sections by doing a video about it. You make it seem like he never has time or is too conceited to care about his fans to spend 30 seconds to read a few comments, oh well, good day.
kinda cool. dennis hopper is teaching you how to set traps

That's an interesting trap...
I was thinking though.. if you put a spring type trap on either side of it. When a larger anime hops over it BOOM. up they go.
