  • the actor sitting beside the actor playing prince john played Prince john him self in the 1982 version which is much better in many many ways for instance the clothing of the knights, the scenary etc etc. ....long live the 1982 version!!!! :-)

  • maybe cause i grew up on the 1982 version i like that one a thousand million times better, they would play it on tv every year in sweden

  • type it as Ivanhoe bbc mini series 1997 ep.1 part 2 or what ever episode you may want to watch on youtube and you should find it

  • this is by far my favourite version. In all honesty I don't think any condensed uploads can do it proper justice although if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have known about it. I think you have to watch it from start to finish to fully appreciate what an incredible masterpiece it is. My favourite character in this one was actually Bois-Gilbert. Wife and I were hoping he would defeat Ivanhoe.

  • I played a Knight Templar Monk in this.. at Doune Castle and Durham cathedral Locations.

    Brings back fun memories.

  • I really like this version. The plot has more twists than the somewhat watered-down 1982 version (though I like that one too). Lady Rowena is far more interesting in this one.

  • Yes, I prefer this version too. It features a lot of proven villains with christopher lee, valentine pelka, ciaran hinds and the BRILLIANT nick brimble leading the way. Also the characters of Rowena, Rebecca, Isaac, Wamba, Gurth, Cedric and Prince John are casted well and act convincingly.

The plot, fighting scenes, costumes ... everything's perfect, but unfortunately this mini-series lacks strong played heroes on the good side. Both - Ivanhoe and Robin Hood - are acting like sissies! :(

  • Where can I find this full movie online?

    Please please please tell me!!

  • I myself am looking for it also, so I can't help you. If you find it would you be able to tell me please? I will do likewise.

  • @crazycrazyppl Yes I'm a bit late I know, but I downloaded it from a torrent. Do a google search for

    "Ivanhoe 1997" +download

and you should find a few torrents. That's exactly what I did about a month ago. Bear in mind this is a mini-series of six 1-hour segments, so you are looking for a torrent containing 6 files. Hope this helps.
