At least you actually healed, I've seen plenty of "battle medics" who don't even heal, even if no enemies are nearby and a burning teammate is about to die.

Don't get me wrong, I still find battle medics rather silly, they can be effective sometimes, but it's extremely hard to find even a moderately good one.

This is not 'battle medic' gameplay. You see, a 'battle medic' is a stereotypical example of a generally terrible medic, because they're often not very good at what they do, since a battle medic NEVER HEALS THEIR TEAMMATES. Thus justifying their loss of a medical license in the first place. Conclusion: There are no good battle medics, there are noobs who are taking up medic slots on the team, and medics who know how to play.

with good teamwork you can heal everyone making your opponents basically meet not one team but 1,5 teams. you should not have time to attack yourself, and if you do everyone will aim at you, so you die if they do not suck, or you are just lucky. Not only that but when you attack by yourself you don't charge uber, wich is extremly imortant to get fast so that your team can push forward to victory. Therefore experienced players knows that a battle medic is either not serious or just a NOOB!

As a competitive medic...NO. These guys are terrible, and sure, I could do the same thing in a low quality pub like that. Also, if you're going to go nuts as a melee medic, at least use the Ubersaw to get some free uber for your team. While medics aren't totally useless at killing people, making a demo/soldier/scout/pyro/heavy invulnerable and/or giving him crits will turn the enemy team into mush a lot faster.

I don't think this is what people instantly think of when they say battle medic. Battle medics don't run around with the medigun out and will will use the kritzkreig for the self heal effect, so they can last longer. This is offesively playing medic. Although what I hate more than stereotyped battle medics are pocket medics.
