  • when you revealed your desktop, how did you flip back to keynote so quick? And how did you close skype so quick? I love general usage tips! Makes everyday tasks so much quicker

  • @TheHonestTheist command-tab to bring up the applications running, then scroll to the app you want to delete with tab while holding down command still. when you want to delete that app, press q.

(Command is held down all the way)

  • @branballz Thanks mate! And what do you use to reveal your desktop? I've got a magic mouse and typically use a three finger swipe up. I take it you use a keyboard shortcut?

  • @TheHonestTheist cmd+tab to switch between open applications

cmd+f3 to make the screen jump to desk top

  • @TheHonestTheist also, cmd+w will close a tab or window or whatever you have open and cmd+q will quit that application. You can actually look up and set your own hot keys in your Macs keyboard settings...

  • no offense, this isnt anything. A simple flip wont do anything. The best animations to use is diffuse and scale.

  • This vid is good but if you want to make an animation were people can actually do stuff like walking i would do more of a stop motion stuff by moving the picture slightly then and make a new slide and changing the picture slightly...then go to share send it to Iphoto then switch it to an Imovie take off the ken burns effect shorten the length of time it takes to switch from pictures and your done.

  • The dislikes are half the likes but theres more green than red!!!!!!! :s

  • @KwLFaMiLy Oh wait i just figured that out....nvm lol

  • See that? Boom! Flip flip flip! lol!

  • If you could help matt that would be awesome. Thanks

  • Hey Matt

Thanks for the great tutorial. I was wondering if you would be able to help out with a keynote problem. I still need help animating. I am trying to create a jeopardy like quiz game on keynote. The question layout is the same with the numbers on one side and the question on the other. And after the question is answered the box disappears to reveal a piece of a picture hiding behind it. I have used hyperlink and build outs but I am having a terrible time giving each box its own settings.

  • @sdenbok You can select multiple option by command-clicking, then change their build settings all at once, if that helps.

  • Mkay as you can see Mkay

  • Hey Matthew,

Good job of describing some of 09's animation capabilities...its a pretty powerful program (just what you'd expect on a Mac!).

  • Hey Matt,

    Thanks or sharing. Smart video.

    Regards,

    Ian

  • Thanks for this Matthew, I actually use Powerpoint myself and haven't used Keynote yet, although I do have a mac which I use for different types of video.

I have bookmarked this tutorial as I know it will help me when I decide to use my mac and keynote for video. Thanks again,

    Gavin Mountford
