Ear Problems : How to Cure Ringing Ears

i need some advice, in work we have a compressor, a loud device, the nozzle fell off and the boss said he didn't have time to get another one so i continued to use it, i blasted it for a bout 2 seconds and stopped because it was way to loud, for the last 3 days since then ive had an extreme loud ringing noise in the left ear, what should i do?

If the sounds generated by the broken hairs in the cochlea are sent to your brain, why doesnt the brain just shut off its awareness to that particular sound as a means of maintaining homeostasis?

I remember what caused mine. When I was 12, my brother snuck up from behind, cupped his hands and boxed my ears. That was over 35 years ago. No, I'm not into caffeine and takes lots of potassium for other reasons. It is always there, but worse when I am tired or lacking sleep. I live with it. Just focus on the good sounds around you.

A few things these so called Doc's ( I refuse to call them Doctors) will never tell you to look for is Allergies, Heavy Metal Toxicity or possible Yeast overgrowth. All three was a factor with me and I cured what they called an incurable Disease. My ringing stopped and I can Hear again. Also at all cost avoid Monosodium Glutimate and Aspertame. Change your Diet. A simple $120.00 Hair analysis test will tell if you have Heavy Metals and tell all of your mineral Ratios.

It's weird, I went to an ear doctor, and after a couple tests, he said I definetely don't have tinnitus. However, I do have a ringing in my ears. My doctor said to pop my ears a couple times a day, and it should go away.

Guys relax . . .. . Honestly I had this problem for like a day. I was scared too and worried I'd be stuck with it forever. Just rest up and ignore it. In my case, the problem was solved the next day. Good luck to all ; )

proabably its the ear wax in your ears which blocks your abillity to sometimes hear. When u dont clean ur ears u can get a ringing or some type of sound in your ears. All u have to do is go to an ear specialist and he/she will put liquid in to a long tube and put it down your ear.U let it sit for a couple of min and u tilt ur head and the liquid with the ear wax comes out which makes the ringing go away.

the cause in most of cases is noise induced or ototoxic meds and after that its impossible to cure, treatment and cure is been under research

dont feel bad guys ive had it since 1981. their is no cure and dont know whats causing it i know its not loud music as some so called doctors suggest cause i dont listen to loud anything. just have to try to ignore it and live with it.

You Know my husband has had ringing in his ear for 2 months or more now and even went to a ear doctor and they put him on a steroid to see if it helped . It did for about a day or two then came back. They really didn't know what was wrong. And his brother also had ringing and bad plugged up ear at the same time and also went through alot of doctor expensives. They told him he just has bad sinuses,hmm all of sudden? And a neighbor of ours has had the same thing ,same symptoms.

Hey guys! I had a annoying high pitched sound 24/7. But I recently went to a ear nose and throat doctor, and he said that I had a wax build up. I got it removed (suction) and now I bareley notice it:) You should check if there are any medical conditions that are causing tinnitus, before jumping to any conclution;)

Some people have it because of high blood pressure. They can hear the blood behind their ears pumping which causes it. Exercise and relax and the ringing should go away

stay away from noise, I shot high power rifles even with ear plugs,

i stopped and controled it for 20 years until I did some drilling and it went crazy, now I have to have muff on to drive a car.

I saw him in his office after a couple of other doctors said I had "Long term hearing loss" which my audiograms didn't show.

Dr. Schohett looked at all of me, and the evidence, and came to a conclusion that the others should have seen. With his guidance I hope to not lose any more of my hearing.
