How long after you shoot them do you gut them out? I've been told never to wait more than 15 minutes after the kill.

When i visit relatives in lower Michigan we hunt fox squirrels sometimes. I love squirrel cooked in a crock pot in cream of chicken soup. I know it sound strange but when you put the meat and soup on rice it's good eating!
