arguing max hp output is useless. it all depends on the power band. you could be getting 300hp @ 5400 rpm but 90hp @ 3000rpm. this is hypothetical but illustrative of real world situations

i like the g8 gxp a lot (but since i won't be drag racing anytime soon, i'll likely get the hyundai genesis; a bit more luxurious), but hell, i like this car.
my only question is if you listen at aboug 8 or 9 seconds, the passenger door was shut. i just didnt like the sound. it didnt come across as being 'solid'.
does anyone own a gxp? if so, do YOUR doors shut with a little more...solidity?
The Genesis isn't even the same class of car in my opinion. I would buy the Hyundai if i were looking for a relaxed cruiser and the Pontiac if i wanted to show off power. There styling isn't even close either, ones entry level luxury and the other is pure sport. As for the solidity of the Pontiac, its scored very well in crash tests around the world under its various badges like the Holden and Vauxhall. Still waiting on the IIHS to test it but the Euro Ncap gave it great marks.

yeah that is not stock. The BEST i have ever heard of this car running stock was 13.5 and that still is very hard to do. Don't get me wrong it's a fast car, but WON'T do that stock. I own it and love it so im not hating on it.

It clearly has NOS because the only other way to get the G8 GT in the 12's is if it's cammed. My G8 GT was running high 13s
