  • "Cessna"? Maybe he had a load of weed.

  • I'm interested in what you have to do to become a pilot. If anyone has detailed information, a private message/comment response would be highly appreciated.

  • where was the take off confirmation ??

  • I love how when he annonouced when he was taking off his call sign was a cessna even though he is in a Piper Warrior!...lol.

  • alot things to do :

  • Its a piper lmao

  • kinda of intimidating how nonchalant he seems, to a novice it seems like astraunat talk, at this rate I feel like it would take decades to understand that "lingo" gotta put it in slow motion to get a grasp

  • What I don't understand is why this guy didn't know what aircraft he was flying... and why is he so slow in knowing what to do? I feel sorry for any student of his...

  • Flaps DOWN for takeoff?! He'd kill himself!

  • @1VK3 Yeah to gain extra lift. (for shorter runways)

  • @alex99minecraft In general aviation speak, 'flaps down' means flaps extended fully. I'm sure we have all seen that video of a Cessna 172 trying to fly overweight and with flaps down...

  • @1VK3 what he means by flaps down that they are up since its a handle he put it down to the floor

  • Wow i guess that Microsoft combat simulator game i had way back in 2004 was good:you not only had to do all those checks AND MORE (ailerons, flaps, oil/fuel mix, prop angles) in the game but had to manage all those buttons mid flight as well.

If that's any indicator, it makes me think i gotta good chance of getting a plane airborne in--well its been said-- a Zombie invasion. =P

  • Imagine having to go through all the checks during a zombie invasion.

  • you retard the throttle? lol

  • Where's the cupholders <;-) Do you primarily teach the checklist as a 'to do' list or do you teach flows? I learned via the checklist but now have transitioned to flows and follow up with the checklist. So just curious. I know there are many philosophies out there.

  • how much does flying lessons cost

  • YEAH RIGHT LIKE ANYONE WOULD LEARN ANYTHING FROM THIS ! WELL GOOD LUCK IF SOME OF YOU TRY TO TAKE OFF......hOPE AM NOT IN THAT PLANE WHEN IT HAPPENS.

  • @andysss51

open your head ....... if you want to be a pilot .. and you have no idea what does it look like .... watch this video ... if you like it .... you can go to an academy ... if you dont like it ... you will change your mind ... because if you dont like it and went to the acadimy ... you will waste a looooot of moooony

  • Wow everyone on youtube must be atpl, mecir pilots. If all the flight sim chuck yeagars out there want to get a hold of me I'll give you a carton of beer and make a fake ID for you to sit my CPL performance and flight planning test I failed today, cause obviously flying on flight sim breeds quality experts.

  • lol u retard the throttle? he didn't use the right pronunciation....

  • haha he said "Cessna departing..." It's a Piper... :P

  • sweet now i can apply for fedex and tell them i learned how to fly with the help of youtube....

  • Oh thats fucking clever.....

He goes through all that bullshit and does'nt show the takeoff!!

  • Should have left the Carburettor heat on for AT LEAST 15 seconds, if carb ice were present, it would have melted and formed at a more critical point in the engine

That was very dangerous, terrible airsmanship

  • @guesswhat6789 Carb ice wont form at idle. Plus you should refer to your carby ice guide to determine the risk of icing for a particular day. Putting it on on the ground is just a check to make sure it is op, but many times particularly in areas I fly if it is U/S there is still no reason to cancel the flight.

  • Oh next time im in my plane just pull up youtube check how to fly

  • I wouldnt listen to or fly with him at all

  • Dumb head said he was in a cessna and it was a piper. What a dumb head

  • Any guys want to become pilot so fast?

  • Do you mean Cottonwood by Sedona? Holy crap that is the best place in the country in my mind want to move there when I get out of college that is awesome!

  • As a pilot I have to tell you he did a fantastic job on his pre flight for you people that dont have a clue but seem to open your pie hole go take a lesson or two. It always seem that the uneducated are the first to judge.

  • Wait a minute; did you say make sure that the flaps are down? I thought they were suppose to be up; at least that's what i was told by a previous instructor.

  • @ninjawarrior41 Yes, during takeoff and landing your flaps should be down. When flying they should be raised. You can usually see it as a passenger.

  • how tall do you have to be to fly a plane like this

  • CESSNA 9704C???? You're sitting in a Piper aircraft of some sort.

  • do you know wheres and avition school for people who whant to become pilots here in los angeles thnks you

  • are atc turn instructions pre calculated for drift angle and winds aloft? SO if atc wanted you to fly 360 and the winds were from the west would they actually give you a heading of something like 353 to corrrect for the cross wind. woudl atc be aware of the winds aloft and of taken them into account before giving you turn instructions. so basically are atc turn instructions calculated to put pilots on precise tracks. are atc instructions drift angle calculated

  • @1982FMJ No, atc instructions are not corrected for wind. All craft should follow exact headings given by atc, otherwise you may have some pilots correcting more than others. If everyone is flying exact headings without correction, then atc knows what to expect of them.

  • if this guy was my CFI id shoot myself...doesnt even know what airplane he is in, good god.

  • @OWHSsoccer07 Shut the fuck you didnt know that until you read the comment on top stupid bitch and go ahead and shoot ur self you worthless to the world

  • @yankee2013 is this guy like ur instructor or something? holy shit settle the fuck down. and also, him messing up the name of the aircraft isnt the only reason i wouldnt want this guy teaching me. just listen to him talk. god ur paranoid. peace out comrade.

  • how monotonous and boring

  • This was entertaining... He's looking right at the checklist and seems to after the fact remember the boost pump that I wasn't aware was on a small cessna......

  • i didnt understand shit

but hey, i could just be stupid right?

  • what airplane is he in?

  • @tjohn6041 It seems to be a Piper PA28, probably an Archer.

  • Cottonwood traffic sets in the 9704 charlie you blitsing morons haha just kidding but i think thats what hes sayin and its a piper cherokee i think

  • @CAPZEN1 Its a piper archer

  • I bet his mum goes to the chippy in her slippers.

  • I like how some people act as if they own this sport . It is for anyone who wishes to participate. I love how some people are so judgmental. I will dress like a hippy and talk jive while flying if need be you fuckwads!

  • sounds like a burnt out wino hope there not charging students that put all there trust and money into these shows!!!

  • How MUCH does one of theese cute lil things COST ?

  • this guy (Instructor) is such an expert he was using a cessna callsign on a piper aircraft..cause that's cool

  • @JustAnOrdinarySimmer How MUCH does one of theese cute lil things COST ?

  • @JustAnOrdinarySimmer whats alot ? I'm gana ask daddy to get me one this weekend

  • This guy is a flippin idiot and not remotely professional. Sure happy I worked so hard to be represented by persons so inept.

  • Expert Village is a joke -_-

  • kool

  • FAIL!

  • FAIL.

  • lol

  • I can't remember viewing an Expertvillage video that was remotely useful.

  • @kleutertjes exercise for carpal tunnel syndrome

  • wth..!! subtitle is running toooo fast.......

  • This is as useful as the "learning martial arts on youtube" videos....

    What is the point?

  • he seems to know what he's doing, just a few details he messed up, 1. know the plane you're flying, it says "piper" on the yoke lol but thats an easy mistake if you fly cessnas for a real long time, and the 50 ft drop is suppose to be RPM, but again, easy mistakes. but if someone heard that and was looking for a cessna taking off and saw a piper, confusion would result haha good video

  • @bmjake haha, i thought the same thing

  • @bmjake Also...he did not repeat the location (Cottonwood) at the end of his call. No big deal.

  • Cool im ready to go now

  • This would have been a great video if not for the writing.

  • @equlibrium06 @crossessolonely What about a comercial plane would that be longer? because your transporting people.

  • @kreativedevelopments that takes a fair bit longer.. can do an integrated course and do it in a few years.. and come out with los of debt!

  • it seems these Cessna really really old ..how the fuck you trust her

  • by watchin this video .. this is all the flight training i have and i think im ready to go rent a plane tomm and flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Notice at 0:54 he says," I'm only showin' a 50 FOOT drop.Funny stuff, man! He should have said 50 rpm drop.

  • "Suction, vacuum, trim, flaps, soap, wash,rinse,spin...."

  • oh my god. i can fly a plane now, thanks to watching a video i found on youtube :D

  • wow i actually learned something, carb heat uses unfiltered air

  • During pre-flight, I love it when he says, "everything else is set".

  • Lol Cessna? Its a Piper!

  • I'd love to fly a plane, but it takes years its a pisstake

  • @kreativedevelopments a private pilots lisence can easily be acieved within a year, most people fly solo within the first few months!

  • @crossessolonely i think the average first flight to checkride time now is 7-9 months and between 7-10 thousand dollars

  • @kreativedevelopments it only takes around 7 months to obtain a private pilots license. less than that for a sport or recreational license.

  • im flying a warrior iii saturday cant wait

  • I wonder if his DG was off a bit on take off.

  • that plane looks like my shit

  • this guy on video on my page watch it hes puerto rican and white suposely got his cessna license do u know him? the guy at the beginning is black but watch the whole video tell me if u know him ok?

  • id like to be a pilot

  • They are ex-pilots. You never forget how to fly, really.

  • where is the steering, brakes and clutch pedal, the dashboard has too much controls and meters in it. crazy vehicle!

  • I am 60 years old. ASm I too old to learn to fly

  • @sinfuldavy0 Never to old to fly. Alot of airline pilots are ex war pilots so about your age.

  • Somebody please remind me never to take flight lessons from this guy, I'd probably fall asleep. No headset, no professionalism and a really bad video. Yet further proof that the only thing that "Expert Village" are experts on is stupidity!

  • hahah Air conditioner i don't have hahahaha

  • @theonescaredcat It's not about state, is the FAA and you need to be at least 17. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong

  • @edro20 lol bet he had the wrong book ,or that cessna had the wrong yoaks ,,oh why did i watch it ,bring back rick ashley lmao

  • how old do you have to be in virginia to learn to fly?

  • brasil 2014 ,go brasil ,samba

  • what plane was he flying a piper

  • Too Many Pilots Go Flying Early In Heaven or Cigarettes For The Poor Russian Soldiers....both followed by What To Do Last

  • is expertvillage learning me how to fly?

  • Wow did this guy say flaps down ?. I hope he mean 5% flaps not 30%. This is what happen when you take with off with flaps down. Type (Last minute before Cessna 172 crash into a house).

  • do you ever fly to prescott?

  • Honestly guys who cares, we got as much morons in the ground as in the air.

  • This guy is at least ,

    consistently shit....

  • I love how he mistakenly refers to the battery master as the take-off master, haha

  • This is Piper Palin's airplane? lol

  • yes, yes, yes he was in a piper why did he call Cessna?the first thing when i get to the run up Spot, i check my mags, and my carb heat and if the Rpm,s drops i know Everything is fine,a cessna Does not have small slot window to open? i have never seen a Cessna have a fuel or mixture like that"" it has been 2 push rods'' Who cares Fly on ''''' Eagledriver2001

  • Why did you call as "Cessna 9704C", when you're in a Piper PA-28?

  • Flaps "down" for takeoff??? Mother of God. RIP.

  • @based747 ....yep...what's wrong with that! Most aircraft use flap on take off

  • @based747 not sure if you ever flew a piper but "flaps down" means the flap handle is all the way down to the floor. This guy is old school.

  • WOW! This guy is a CFI????? Frightening.

  • @FireSarge30

    very very scary

  • He calls it a cessna on the radio? what the hell

  • Myself I turn the carb heat back off to take off .I want all the power I can get ...to get up the carb heater slows the engine stealing power ..But thats just me ..

  • Go to an FBO instead of using your time here, How do i tune a guitarr ? ask Expertvillage, i feel sad for all who trying to learn from Amatuervillage, If plan a course in how to be a Idiot can i make a few $ via them and YouTube ???

  • Realy Nice, A Piper PA 28 become a Cessna, !! God Instructor who doesent know what plane he fly, I know my English is bad but i am recived all my FAA Certificates in USA from PPL via CFI to ATP and Type ratings at ATA on B-757 and L-1011-1, I know the type when i talk to ATC, or ?? Cessna 152 Heavy

  • It's called the rot factor, and it stinks.

bad instuctor = bad student = bad instructor

  • and no, magneto is not on of the Transformers! :))

  • Did he just say the engine could stall..? That's going to be real scary for when he decides to perform stalls with a new student and the student thinks he's going to kill the engine.

  • What are the magnetos?

  • Comment removed

  • @xstell132 like an alternator, just provides DC voltage to power instruments and systems. If you have ever worked on a riding lawnmower you know they also have magnetos, generally they are a ring of coils around the flywheel powered by a magnet mounted inside the flywheel.

  • Comment removed

  • @ab48726

Really?,,, the magnetos power the instruments and systems? Really? Where did you learn this tidbit of information?

What is the alternator for then? Providing power to the spark plugs?

  • You're right, my bad. They only use magnetos for spark nowadays.

  • they produce there own power if the electric goes out

  • @xstell132 magnetos are wat gives power for the spark plug to give a bolt of electric nd explode the air mixed fuel in the cylinder causing the piston to go down. It works seperate from the main electic system of the plane and if the electric system is off in the plane it wont effect the engine because the magnetos keep the spark plug working. Im gonna be a future air force pilot im 15

  • @xstell132 A kind of generators that supply the spark plugs with very high voltage.

  • his beacons are off i wonder when is he gonna put it on

  • damn, this guy sounds like he's fucking hungover as hell. No way I'd get in a plane with this dumbass.

  • Agreed!

  • I run it up to 8000 rpm, then i grab my wife.

  • Guys sounds like he has been on the happy tabaco

  • My guess is that he is used to flying a Cessna and used the piper for the video, and said the tail number that he is used to calling.

  • @RevRichardH The tail number comes back correctly as the Piper, so that doesn't quite wash.

  • wtf cessna? its a piper!

  • @soxeyer

LoL yeah i just went back to listen to that again. This guy really doesn't inspire much confidence....

  • @soxeyer

    LOL!!

  • @soxeyer true

  • whats a click

  • This is not considered flight instruction, This is clearly a ground lesson.

  • what is magneto plz?

  • Same as an ignition coil in a car except airplanes have 2 them... along with 2 sets of spark plugs per cylinder. The whole ignition system is duplicated for safety.

  • yeah lol

that's a piper panel for sure

  • on the radio at 2:31 he says "Cessna" but he's flying a piper! lol

  • Ha! That ain't no Cessna!

  • Are mags pilot jargon for magnetos?

  • yeo

  • @bigtunanorway Yes.

  • Comment removed

  • He didnt check the magnetos....

  • Yes, he did.

  • *face palm*

  • thats not funny be honest dusch bag

  • Check again. Transponder is set to 1200. That's the one thing he did right.

  • "fuel pumps on?" lol after he completed the check-list! woops.

    check 2:30

  • why is the transponder set to 1300? VFR flight usually squawk 1200, no? I'm just training for my PPL, so please don't yell at me if I'm wrong!=]

  • i want to learn to fly, but i dont need to know how to land, will you teach me?

  • lulz

  • Your an idiot if you think this is a Cessna (this pilot is an idiot). It says Piper on the Yoke...the switches are laid out like a piper...and the obvious throttle quadrant.

  • thats funny, it looks like a cessna intstrument pannel, with piper yolk. haha

  • Cessna 9704C is the callsign of the plane if i heard correct, but the on the yoke it says Piper.

  • How bout looking for traffic after announcing you are taking off? Always a good idea....

  • Comment removed

  • he sayd "blablabla check bablablabl check ..PRETTY GOOD!" it must not be just pretty good

  • omg what a douche

  • Hi there, I would just like to say two things:

    1) That (and I use this word lightly) Pilot should really concentrate on what he is doing, god if he was my instructor i would never make it past my skills test.

    2) For those who took notice of my user- name its PPLPilotUK, thus I am training for a PPL In the uk, however just a quick question to those Pilots or Students out there, what is the normal RPM rate you set while on the ground in that type of aircraft?

    I only ask because I fly a C152.

  • 1800rpm is the standard for most small trainers...

  • He seems to be concentrating pretty good to me....Typical UK snobbery.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, aren't you a hero. You are so full of yourself, I would hope to never have you as my pilot. Check your ego at the baggage claim...Sheesh

  • Im defending your attack on 'UK snobbiness'. I am not praising myself. The pilot in this video seems too 'lax'.
