When you're in the city, go to North Beach and eat the best Italian meal you'll ever find at Cap's corner at the corner of Union and Green (I think - been a while). Althought I'm a native San Franciscian, I've lived down here on the peninsula for so long I've kind of forgotten locations. Don't eat at pier 39 - it's not real SF food. Do ride a cable car and visit Chinatown and take a walk on the bridge. One more thing, bring your dog - San Francisco is the most dog friendly place around.
Glad you had a good time in the city. I've lived here 35 years and still love it. I will often go to Fisherman's Wharf and hang around there because the tourist energy is so positive. Hope you can come back soon.

I've resided in San Francisco since 2004 and I plan on living here for the rest of my life. The first trip I took here was at the age of 12. I remember that chilly overcast timelessness just like it was yesterday. We did the usual touristy stuff at Pier 39, after which we hopped on the Powell Street cable car at Taylor & Bay. It was on that cable car ride that I fell in love with San Francisco and this song by Maxime Le Forestier captures that moment perfectly (^_^).

Unlike many U.S. cities (and despite the earthquakes), San Francisco has gone to great lengths to preserve its colonial architecture. But the city feels "Mediterranean" for other reasons as well. The place is compact and intimate. It is 2 PM on a weekday. And the cafes are full of people reading newspapers, debating politics, and biting into slices of tiramisu. That is very un-American indeed. And so much the better for it.
When I was 10, I promised I'd move there. After college, my wife and I moved to the Haight and had a blast. Raised two children in the City and 25 yrs later find ourselves with an empty nest and falling in love with SF all over again each day. Hard to imagine, but I love it here even more today than I did as a starry-eyed 10 yr old.

I Luv showing the "working men" at the beginning....SF is only the Elite Rich and the service industry. It doesn't allow any Green Wind Turbines on its hills or in Marin County. It is filled with Denial and Self Importance.

xSophieSkittles: the Chamber of Commerce doesn't want to tell you this but the best time to visit San Francisco is up till late June very early July then the fog rolls in and sits over San Francisco till mid/latter Sept. Then the weather is very nice and the big secret no one knows is that during November/Dec/Jan it CAN be very pleasant weather (especially in comparison to the East Coast).

i lived in san francisco for 10 years back in the 80's. moved back to ny. in 92.
i remember parking my car on the marin side of the bridge parking lot, sausilito and peddle across the GG bridge into town on my bike. sometimes I would just walk, take the BART to Walnut Creek or
Concord to see friends.
Worked at a large corporation at that time and served as the company inhouse messenger. got to walk/bus delivering on my route. greatest memories of my life there. maybe return someday.
What a fun video and the song is beautiful. I love songs about San Francisco. It may not be the "best" city, it has its troubles for sure, but it is indeed fascinating and there's nowhere quite like here.
I'm going to college next year in San Francisco, I'm completely psyched! Not sure what to expect. I've never lived in a city before and the closest to where I live is Salt Lake City. Going to be a brand new experience :)!

" Gay Day " parade . Truly shameful with no idea of embarassment . Even they are becoming more conservative in a hypocitric way . They are not as proud as they seem .

i lived in san francisco for 10 years back in the 80's. moved back to ny. in 92.
i remember parking my car on the marin side of the bridge parking lot, sausilito and peddle across the GG bridge into town on my bike. sometimes I would just walk, take the BART to Walnut Creek or
Concord to see friends.
Worked at a large corporation at that time and served as the company inhouse messenger. got to walk/bus delivering on my route. greatest memories of my life there. maybe return someday.
