I have yet to understand the whole "lame duck" part of this rambling pile of crap. If you see people be lazy during the lame duck period, 1) how does that apply if you're no where near a point where you'd be a lame duck, and 2) why would you not (if you were to lose re-election) actually DO stuff during that period to truly be against "politics as usual?"
