  • He was from Horsham, not Hersham!, Get your facts right son! NS.

  • @yorkie6687 No you get your facts right. He was from Hersham. Between Esher and Weybridge about 1 mile from where I am right now. We used to see them drinking at the Albert in Esher.

  • @chanctonbury63 He was from Horsham, try asking Mike Read from radio one, when Pursey SAID he was from Horsham you fucking ignoramous twat!!! NS.

  • @yorkie6687 If you want to make a fucking dick of yourself on the internet then be my guest. If Pursey lived in Horsham then why did he attend Hersham House and Rydens school which is situated between Hersham and Walton on Thames. It would have taken his Mum nearly 2 hours to drive him to school and back in rush hour every weekday when there are plenty of decent schools in Horsham?? Get it mindfuck?

  • Can anyone remember Jimmy Pursey's pathetic 'arty' dance piece on Riverside? The man is a pretentious fraud. Ha ha!

  • @heckmacbuff and a solo album laughably called alien orphan.

  • We're goin' down the Pub? WTF?! This song blows, and is why I'm glad I missed most of the 70s.

  • @RichXbox360 You havnt a clue son go listen to some x facto pish or N Dubz its a anthem for a generation Boy!

  • @DelStrainComedy What the actual fuck are you on about mate? X Factor sucks, cos it's fixed for a start, Simon Cowell's already decided who's going to win! Also, I'm 35, was born in 1976

  • Loved it when I was 14, now I'm 46!

  • THIS MAN IS NOT A COCKNEY! Fucksake he was from Hersham! Nowhere near Cockney London, it must of been a fucking strong wind to carry the sound of Bow Bells that far when he was born.

  • @14Praetorian Still good stuff though. The beastie boys were a bunch of middle class american white kids and they spewed out anarchic rap like they were ever 'street' in the first place.Who cares ?

  • bertbox69 The Beastie boys started with the Punk scene in new york . then went on with hip hop . If you read most of the Lyrics they are quite tong in cheek

  • @14Praetorian hersham boys were relocated from east london to hersham surry smart arse. thats what hersham boys is about! jimmy percy is a nob anyway

  • To be fair Tell Us The truth was a decent Punk album with a few good anthems Borstal Breakout etc but they went the way of the pound note Jimmy in particular not as Iconic as Joe Public and Mick and Paul and Topper but still on my playlist daily..

If i tryed to act my age i just wouldnt be me" Now thats not bad atol.

  • fucking class!

  • O MY FUCK GOD , HE LIKE MARCELO ADNET

    OI FROM BRAZIL

    HAUHAUHAUHAHAUHAUH

  • last time I met Jimmy he had no teeth.christ knows what's going on with him now

  • Quality tunes..But wouldnt like to re-live those days tho...

  • I once saw Jimmy Pursey on early evening Saturday TV on a variety show hosted by David Essex. He came crawling out of a box wearing just leotard bottoms and did an arty expressive mime/dance routine. Needless to say I didn't like his 'new direction'. I think I nearly choked on my tea and buns.

  • I love how they're already talking about the demise of punk in 1978.

  • Fuckin class - always will be wurkin class terrace culture lyrics. Love it!

  • I think where the US depiction of the English goes wrong is that everyone is either very upper class or very working class, it's the general, unregional middle class English that I hear every day but rarely in US movies etc

  • Cockney yobbo working class uneducated rubbish!

  • This is what Lawrence of Arabia sang when fleeing from gun toting mad Arabs - Hurry up Hairy Camel!

  • @rabsmiff Nobody say's "spastic" these days. It's SCOPE now.

  • @MickeyLove01 'SPASTIC' is harder-hitting, and deliberately non-PC. I am non-PC and proud, and I refuse to use 'consumer-friendly' soundbites put out by the media, to brainwash suckers like you.

  • @rabsmiff You're obviously too fucking stupid to get the Coogan joke you dim twat. and what's with the americanisms?

  • @MickeyLove01 the whole planet is becoming Americanized, Mickey; I don't like it, but if I can't beat 'em, I might as well join 'em. Sorry, I don't know what 'coogan' is or was......I stopped tuning into the media-garbage you worship eons ago, old chappie-me-lad. But that doesn't make me stupid, the fact that I don't follow mindless consumer garbage ['garbage': another deliberate 'Americanism'].

It's all irony, old bean: irony, pure and simple, chuckie-poohs.

  • @rabsmiff But surely youtube is "media-garbage", which makes you a hypocrite, no? Some of my personalities are media savvy but some are not.

  • @rabsmiff Youtube is barely tolerable , Mickey, also it's interactive; there IS a lot of garbage on telly I believe, there is also trash on youtube, but it's probably more fun. Likke I said, if I can't beat, em, I might as well join 'em!

  • @TheClassicMovieEra2 Are you still taking it up the ass courtesy of Pursey, gayboy? Oh, I forgot: your 'brains' are sterilized, and your crippled mind doesn't know the difference betweenright or wrong: that's why losers like Pursey exploit your lame, stinking body for perverted kicks.

  • @TheClassicMovieEra2 You're obviously naive, innocent, and not streetwise if you are unaware of what some unsavoury sods do in Public Toilets.

  • @TheClassicMovieEra2 what a coincidence!! ive been talking to a girl from sudbury, ontario! i was born in highgate/ archway...whittington hospital.....maybe we should introduce madness and bad manners to these guys that would really shake em up!!!

  • Funny enough,I fancy a pint now.

  • Shite song from a shite band. This one has it all!

  • Weeeeeeerrrrr'eeeeeee GOIN' DAHNNNN The PUB!!!!!!

  • URRY UP ARRY CUMON

  • jimmy pursey is a self opinionated knob. i saw them at Nottingham Rock City in about 93,think they were supporting SLF. Pursey got the band to quieten down so he could gob off to us about us "not listening" and other crap.Cock.

  • What do you mean "proper English" There's no such thing as one "proper English" accent. Ask a Bristolian, Scouser, Manc, Geordie, Mackem, Midlander etc. There's tons of English accents. God help us if cockney was the one "proper" English accent.

  • hugh grant is a lovely chap...but proper english is this above ....only royalties speak the way hugh does ....

  • cor this vid and song caused frigging riots with all the straight goers

  • B side No Entry Brilliant

  • to all the americans watching this. you think that hugh grant has a typical " british " accent. first of all this music is english. im english. led zpepplin, the who, the beatles, the stones, motorhead etc are english. 99% of english people do not talk like hugh grant. the lead singer here has a proper english / london accent. working class ethics and a proper geezeer. this might be dated now but this is hardcore for the time it came out. the truth and people could relate to it. no bullshit

  • @boomboxbadboy1

The are all British. I suspect you are British. If you have a passport have a look, what does it say under 'Nationality'? Yup, thats right, British!

  • mango, as much as i would like to joust with you verbally i think it is not worth the effort.......but without sounding " racist against americans2 ( which im not), you are a canadian.

  • @boomboxbadboy1

Hugh Grant is an upper class cunt!!

  • well put buddy boy

  • @boomboxbadboy1

I am not a violent person but i could make an exception for that cunt Hugh Grant pompous prick!

  • well said.

  • @boomboxbadboy1 You're right. And Nazareth, Alex Harvey Band, Gun, Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy), Jack Bruce (Cream), Franz Ferdinand, Midge Ure, The Rezillos, The Exploited, Jimmy Bain (Rainbow), The Fratellis, The Skids, Jimmy Dewar (Robin Trower Band) are/were Scottish. And let's not forget Bon Scott, Angus and Malcolm Young of AC/DC who were all born in Scotland.

Accents change every 30-40 miles or so. There is no such thing as an 'English' or 'Scottish' accent.

  • @boomboxbadboy1 it sounds alot cooler when he sings in a accent

  • @mageman2009 sings in an accent?

  • @boomboxbadboy1

So true. But why do so many people in England today talk with shitty accents from Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, and India? I mean WTF mate?! I'd prefer Hugh Grant-types anyday, over some third world peasant scum who rape English girls, attack English boys, and blow up English people.

  • @whitekuduone Agree, Islam is taking over and spoiling Uk culture....

  • @boomboxbadboy1 To all americans,he's a cockney.

  • @boomboxbadboy1 ..obviously,you have never heard of the Beatles,The Animals,The Tremelo's or any other regional accented group who superceded Sham 69 by at least 15 years.

  • @boomboxbadboy1 Those Americans are what I like to call, in the words of Colin Farrell, 'Yankee Fucking Cunts'

  • @blainyrules Hilarious! Spot on my friend!lmfao

  • @boomboxbadboy1 Hardcore? Are you sure? More like Del Boy comedy. It had not of the cutting edge of the Pistols. Great tune of the day but it is comedy, even the Chas and Dave piano is in there.

  • @boomboxbadboy1 Most Americans don't think that. However many can't tell the difference between Asutralian and English. As most Americans are ignorant and stupid and tend to function on a 25 word vocabulary that borderlines somewhere between hillbilly and downs. In short stupidity is the new elitism by wich the average yankee twat defines themselves to think is the 21st century coolness. I can say this because i am an American.

Why waste your time explaining yourself 2 gifted tards baffles me

  • @boomboxbadboy1 Don't matter , most peeps in london now speak jafaican, slang patois and ethnic minority speak, cockney talk is dead here.

  • @TheSaoirse777 Yeah society is so much better for that(not)

  • saw this lot live about a month ago. Great night. Slam - danced with a bunch of mid 40's ex- skins. Fun

  • In those days teenagers belonged to tribes and dressed and acted accordingly. Now kids all look the same "clones"

  • I was those days, original skin

  • fukkkkkkkkin class

  • :) i wish i was around when music was like this :/

i just get stick for listening to this type of music

    but it legendary xD

  • Thats not the point - they proudly represented a whole group of people that had never before had anything but stick from the rest of society

Music don't have to be perfect to have significance!

  • While i agree jimmy was an iconic figure of the punk scene , i have never been able to take him serious.

  • Agreed, totally.

  • i loved the world cup 2006 version of this

  • OMG, I remember Jimmy Pursey posing in Sounds circa 1979 with only a lifebuoy covering he´s bits....what a memory!!

  • Oi!

  • das weis ich wohl, aber bei den vibrators ist der text auch anders

  • is this skinhead?

because in a movie about skins they paint that on the wall.
