Don't like the baiting idea, as many said here wheres the skill in hiding up a tree and shooting an animal eating bait, track it, find it, get close enough without being seen then take a well aimed shot, if you get it you hunted well, if not you had a good days excitment and exercise, ohh I definately didn't like the use of a crossbow, buy a good rifle & some heavy bullets to kill the animal quick and humane, that bear suffered and died slowly.

Bear hunting is fun. The best way to hunt a bear is to take a couple of large starving dogs with you. Then you take your M4 with you with a lot of mags. You most have a Glock 45 as a side arm. When the dogs attack the bear you open fire. 100 shots in the bear head is enough! Then you skin the bear and give the rest to the dogs.
