  • The purple looks really good on Dee! And Teddy is such a pretty boy!! :)

  • you have done an amazing job on both of them, both of them are gorgeous :) xx

  • Hey I was just curious why you ride Teddy in a hackamore? I've seen you ride him in a loose ring so I was just wondering what made you choose those two types of bits. Thanks!

  • @Tuxedo646 Teddy enjoys being ridden bitless, I don't see a problem with that so I ride him bitless when I can. In Australia you can only compete or take a horse to a competition ground when they are wearing a bit. So when Teddy has to wear a bit I use a loose ring, thin sweet iron bit. He has quite a small mouth, so the thinner bit is more comfortable for him :)

  • wow the way you ride teddy i love he looks so pretty love that u dont ask to have his head into his chest that aint pretty hes so relaxed love him hes such a awesome dude

  • Just some advice ( Not a crit ) But whoever is riding Teddy ( If it's you ) well just try adn keep your hands still and when u play with his mouth to get his head in just do it lightly with your fingers , cause your hands are all over the place :P Lovely vid & dee is comign out so good :)

  • @CheyZenaxx

See, the thing is I don't ever play with with my hands to get my horse's 'head in'. Having his head buried into his chest isn't collection. My hands are elevated here to prevent just that happening, I'm encouraging him to stay in a high frame and hold himself there. The reason my hands are moving is to keep him up and off the forehand, he hadn't been ridden for months before this so he needed to be reminded of that. But thank you anyway! :)

  • @Bhukshine Ahhhh ok ok i see :) That makes sense , and don't worry i hate seeing people burrying there horses head into there chest it's nasty , but i meant like getting his head elivated/in by " head in" :) But thank's for explaining :)

  • "he's a 17hh quarter horse x Arabia x quarter horse" guessing you meant Thoroughbred in one of those?

  • @sydney11911

Oops, no, I meant stock horse. This fellow has no thoroughbred in him at all ;)

  • Well im western its easyer then english acctually.... you would be surprised

  • Your horses are amazing!! And you make great videos so that you show the horses from their right sides, wonderful, I love every single video that you publish!! x

  • dont keep ur hands up so much put them down more

  • Teddys come so far! You've done so much work on him and its shown. :)

And teddys ground work is to dream for.

I never knew you went to elcho park? I've been there heaps! Shame i haven't bumped into you haha.

  • TEDDY. <3 You know how I love your horsey. ;) Dee is looking gorgeous too. Another success story! ;D x

  • Teddy's canter is looking amazing, and he certainly looks like he's put on weight. He looks amazing!!!! And Dee looks gorgeous too, she's really starting to develop a nice topline. How's Moonshine doing?

  • @KamelotsBigFan

Thanks, it's taken a whole year of just dressage training, no jumping, but it's paid off. He finally relaxes and doesn't rush anymore, it's lovely! Dee is doing so well, I couldn't expect any more from her, she's such a darling! And Moonshine.. well Moony Moony haha, she's in a paddock with about 6 horses, and is the boss! She's all snakey and marey, it's quite funny to see her bossing around big 17hh standardbreds! She's so fat and happy, we're taking her to the beach soon!

  • @TwiisterzGerl

Hahaha, no you don't! It means extra big bridles, rugs.. They cost more to feed, they don't fit in stables... You have to buy a massive, big, expensive extended float... And they are so hard to keep together in dressage! BUT. I do love Teddy, regardless of his size, and I think he's actually gone up to 17.1hh now. But my point is big horses aren't all that practical haha :) And thank you!!

  • they both look totally gorgeous!! <3

  • you should teach teddy western, he be good at it

  • @allieamy9497

That would be great fun! But I don't know how to ride western or how to train them. Not many people in my area are actually western riders

  • you have done an amzing job so far with dee :) and it's nice to see teddy again looking so well :) you are an amazing rider and trainer :)

  • @123notoneme

Dee is a fantastic horse though, she has brought herself a very long way, I can't take all the credit. Thank you!

  • @Bhukshine well you have to take some of the credit. your the one who bought her, you put the wheels in motion

  • Dee carries herself very nicely at the canter. They are both so lovely.

  • You might get this question a lot, but I was wondering why you hold your hands so high?

And both your horses are looking fantastic! Teddy's still my fave though :)

  • @cevalo101

Well, Teddy tends to lean on his rider's hands, so when I raise my hands, it elevates him and keeps him off the forehand. It's so I'm not pulling him into a frame, but rather he is holding himself there. I taught Dee this way, and she holds herself beautifully :) Thanks, Teddy's my favorite too, but shh! Don't tell the others! Haha :)

  • You look amazing on Teddy, but I must say, I've never seen you look as good on a horse as you look on Dee. You guys really just seem to fit. When you got on her she just looked so happy. I can tell she really loves you. :)

  • @HorsesHoldMyHeart

Aw thank you so much! I really enjoy riding Dee, I just get on her and everything feels right. Teddy is hard to keep together in dressage because he's so large! But Dee just has that natural movement and the perfect temperament. It's a shame she will have to be sold on.. but Paris may be interested in buying her, which would be fantastic!

  • @Bhukshine I bet! 17hh and boy is he long! She's so compact and pretty. Her head and neck are sooo nice. Such a beautiful frame she works in, how did you teach her that in only 4 months?? Teddy has such a nice frame too!

  • @HorsesHoldMyHeart

Well I had to make her happy first, that's probably the most important thing. First I had her going nice and relaxed on a long, loose rein. Then I taught her to flex and give to the bit. Then started getting her flexing in circles, the gradually coming down the straights, still flexed. Then I just introduced the outside rein, which got her to straighten her head, but because she was used to flexing and giving, gave to me again and found herself working in a beautiful frame!

  • @Bhukshine Thank you! Will definatley try this with my horses! :)

  • awwww Teddy's such a dude! <3 Dee's looking good :D x

  • They are both looking awesome Tegan! is that arena at Paris? cos it is awesome haha looks so nice!!

  • @georgiabates

Thanks Georgia! Yes it is, this was our first ride in it :)

  • Dee is sooooo nice! And then of course there's perfect Teddy. :)

  • tedd has a great attitude!!

  • Tedy is such a wonderful horse!!!

  • 1:44, one sec, just having a little scratch ;) xxx

  • they are both so gorgeous and beautiful movers:} and ridden really well xx

  • aww they are so well behaved and beautiful. The girl in blue could bend her elbows a bit more though just a suggestion not meant in a bitchy way :)

  • looking good :)

  • Well done! i love teddy, he is my fav haha ^.^

  • @Pepsi1927

He's my favorite too, can't get any better then Teddy haha :)

  • interesting riding aids you have

  • @Ghorseyluver

    What do you mean?

  • @Bhukshine sorry that was mean!! just ignor that comment!!! Your horses are gorgeous!!

  • They are both really nice movers!

  • @xfreedomxo

Thank you! Dee I think will become a horse better suited to dressage then Teddy as she matures. They are both lovely, quiet horses though!

  • @Bhukshine Aw, they are both great haha, Dee has an AMAZING natural jump though! :D xx

  • @xfreedomxo

Yes she does! She'll be a fantastic eventer when she's older!

  • Nawh they're both looking so good, Tegan! :)

    You're so lucky.

  • @Kelliee1

Thanks Kellie! Shame Wallington don't do the show jumping anymore, would have loved to take them. But perhaps we should all organize a ride at Wallington were we all have a group lesson? That would be great fun!

  • @Bhukshine I'm pretty sure they're doing a Combined Training day soon :) I'll let you know when I find out, if you like?

And that'd be so cool :D

  • They both look pretty good!

and i love this video c:

its nice to see dressage videos everynow and then

  • @KennaCaecity

Thanks, and I agree! A lot of young people only find interest in jumping, I really enjoy dressage though. I've really spent this year focusing on dressage with Teddy, and it's helped him a lot. I will start jumping them soon though (with only little ones for Dee as she's only 4).

  • at 0:33 that extended trot is gorgeous!

  • @iluvhorsesjna

Thaaanks, that's something Teddy's great at!

  • they look lovely.

but i must say, trust an australian arena to have sand that colour!

  • @BehemothProductions

Now I think of it I can't say I've ever seen another arena with sand that color, pretty cool isn't it? Thank you!

  • ahhh i missed them :D i love watching your videos!!
