  • wow this is really awesome

  • it's a steel structure piece!

  • you are one of the greatest composers on youtube!!!

  • what articulations were used for the violins in the beginning? also have ewql SO and was just curious :) would very much appreciate an answer :)

  • :)

  • then told this guy to send it to youtube

  • my brother made this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice percussion, great staccato's. Very Zimmer but I've seen your other work and your diverse.

    Hit my Evil Elves video!

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • I am absolutely spellbound by this. A couple days ago I would have said my practical influences for music composition would have been Martin O'Donnell, Steve Jablonsky, Hans Zimmer, and Ennio Morricone. I'm now adding Stephen M Lloyd to the list.

  • Hi! Great composition! I've a question...i've installed on my pc EWQL SO gold edition, but the "skin" of the program is not the same of the other skin that i've seen on youtube..not the tipical skin of the program...and another question...for a composition like this, i have to use EWQL SO and goliath or only EWQL SO? because i use a laptop, intel dual core 1,5 Ghrz...Colossus doesn't work on my pc for exemple...(sorry for my BAD english)

  • you gotta upload more its 2012 your music cant just fade away like that

  • Man that was great!!!

  • Amazing !

  • Excelente el tema.

  • This is actually nice, I love the sound effect of the strings; Double bass, Cello, Violin.

  • Do you sell your music in albums or iTunes? They are soooo amazing! Adventure runs through them all.

  • Very good!

  • Do you have this on iTunes?

  • Can I use this in a video if I give you credit?

  • /watch?v=kzcVxlZ0pU8

Hi all! That´s my first Film Score with EWQL. Hope you like it!!!

  • Wow!!! This is great, I use Reason v5 and I want these sounds, but i cant no matter how many refills i get or how many other programs i have tried. I am trying to rebuild my music station, but i am at a loss on how to do it. I have the same pc, but i have another one built for film scoring. Is EWQLSO a stand alone program, or used as a VST? If you can at least tell me how yours is set up, i will be put in the correct direction!

  • @Zironyxcyx EWQLSO HAS a stand alone program but it is not dedicated to stand alone, it is built to record. How many gigs do you have? How many processors do you have? All of these things are taken into account when your using a studio computer!

  • @Zironyxcyx my brother made this then, told this guy to send it to youtube :)

  • Is EWQL easy to make music with, or should i hire a musician? (Purspose is video game music) This track is amazing

  • again i have to repeat, this is like the most amazingest track I have ever heard, I just wish you can extend this masterpiece.

    SML

    SML

  • Hi. Great score :) May I ask EXACTLY which SD2 drums you are using? Quite new to this, and I would love to see what drums create this effect. Love the drive in this. Do you score/write down the music before starting, or do you get a tune in your head and then add instruments till it sounds good?

  • @bae215 You know what bae215, i cant remember exactly which one i use, Its one of my favorites but its been so long since ive actually used it i honestly cant remember! What i would do if i we're you is try experimenting with different percussions, also try experimenting with different EQ's on thoughs percussions! That is how you will define your music! Change the sound, crisp and simple is good!

    SML

  • This piece would fit perfectly in Uncharted 2 (The Game)

    :D

    Awesome!

    //Peter from Sweden.

  • really nice, can you give me tips for composing orcherster?

  • @Xilefave Think of composing like building a house! Brick by brick! Foundation is percussion, the structure is your bass strings, and then of course comes the roof! Thoughs are your violins, after your done with the basics then start decorating it with lead melody!

    SML

  • @SteveMLloyd jer first you need a ground and then comes decoration, thx for your help

  • this one has a hint of the spider man theme in it

  • dude you are epic

  • This sounds like something out of the Transformers movie :p

  • You are one of the best composers on YouTube, I have ever heard.

There's only one other person that are able to compete with you, his channel-name is miika153. I can't decide who's the better!

  • Well Done ,Respect .

  • @Gaz07 Which Hans zimmer track am i impersonating? i would love to hear it!

  • @SteveMLloyd So you know who i ment...enough said...

  • inception 2 soundtrack___ done! great job ;)

  • if I were to compare Stephen with any other music by the way he composed this, it would have to be Two Steps From hell... but face it guys, Stephen has his own style, which I very much like, keep it up (I know you have to be working on something in the background of everything else as we speak)

  • The best EWQLSO I've heard yet!

  • Great one, currently also getting into soundtrack making and I must say this is excellent.

Any tips on where to get some proper orchestra drum samples?

  • mindblowing

  • wow this is really great, you are an amazing composer! congrats

  • This is so awesome!! :)

  • Oh my god. I'm blown away because of its awesomeness. Fully professional. No doubt.

  • Your great Imagination reflect the power of EWQLXX,

  • Bloooooody AWESOME...

  • wow amazing:)!! the beginning is like the Dark Night did you get your inspiration from Hans Zimmer? or it just came to your mind just like that?

  • whats with people saying this sounds like hans zimmer, this is a unique soundtrack i did not hear anything similar to this.

  • very nice, you know, both duduk and ney are Anatolian Turkish Armanian ethnic instruments. Especially ney is an amazing instrument, you must try to listen some examples played by original intstument, it's not from that world but somewhere else.

  • cut out the 2nd and 3rd hit on the ney flute and this is perfect

  • NASTY! I can't wait to get this sound library, youtube is blowing me away just hearing all the great music made with this sound library, keep up the good work man

  • Congrulations, you make real art

  • this is my favorite of yours.

  • wow! im speechless....

  • I really wish you can extend this track. This is the bestttttt soundtrack I have ever heard. So awesome and makes me feel all powerful and humble at the same time. Wish you can make more cool tracks. Thank you for this great music.

  • can you make a little lighter music with ewql? i mean like toy story or somethin?? kung fu panda perhaps..

  • @TheGameLoungePD I could, i just prefer no too, im into action and adventure type music, its more difficult to write and a hell of a lot of fun.

  • This is epic! From what library do you get the drums? SD2?

  • @SuperFrieza8 Yes, SD2 or Goliath

  • you should broaden this out with choirs! it would make it sound huge!

  • Very, Very nice!

  • just WOW!!!! AMAZING !

  • I seriously think you should be a famous soundtrack artist.

  • Hey did u make all of this in EWQL Symphonic Orchestra silver?

  • @DJRockwood No this is useing gold

  • Is this EWQL Platinum? Gold? Silver? This sounds professional! I'm really impressed!

  • I love this piece of music, I find myself coming back to it from time to time and it's always a pleasure to the ears. Great work!

  • Классно!!!

  • @Vanek2707 Spasibo!

  • 10 Bucks says you love the Dark Knight soundtrack. It shows hahaha. Thats a compliment.

  • @owenmatthewtiernan Actually not that much haha, i think Hans did an "ok" job on that soundtrack, but i wasent crazy about it.

  • @SteveMLloyd Hahaha fair enough. Great stuff still!

  • @owenmatthewtiernan my money he listens much to hans zimmer scores....

  • @Bullski123 i dont listen to hans zimmer, i understand the fact everyone compares me to him, its always easier to compare someones music to another composers rather then make your own opinion about the piece itself! Try listening to the piece without using the "Hans zimmer" approach!

  • @SteveMLloyd But you DO sound like Zimmer. You use Zimmerish staccato strings all the time. And your tracks certainly don't sound like John Williams ^^ Of course, they are good as they are, no doubt about that.

by the way, you're welcome to pop in and comment on my tracks - I've been digging EWQL occasionally for the past several months, and there's more to come anytime soon. The results so far are fine imo, but any criticism is welcome ;p

  • @SteveMLloyd No insults intended....

  • @SteveMLloyd Ennio Morricone mixed with Zimmer IMHO... :). I think it is impossible to not be influenced by someone else. As Sting once said, "All the chord combinations have been done a million times, it's just how you intrerpret them." Zimmer did admit that he was hugely influenced by Wagner for Gladiator.

Excellent job sir, never the less.

  • 10 Bucks says you love the Dark Knight soundtrack. It shows hahaha. Thats a compliment.

  • subscribed!!

  • Amazing work! =) Congratulations!

  • Sorry for my bad english...

Man, you're the best!!! Incredibly fantastic!!! I'm dreaming every night with this song and how could you do everything so natural!!! Not only this song, but all your compositions!!! Can you post some tips or/and a tutorial about EWQL and the mixings? I'm just a begginer!!! Can you help us? Please!!!

  • Great work. I wonder if you have ever composed for a motion picture.

  • Reminds me alot of "One Day" by Hans Zimmer

  • The song is great, but... no, there's no "but". I really liked the 2'07 - 2'08 moment. the best part

  • Great, as always!

  • I've watched all of your videos. Can't pick a favourite one..they're all such an amazing pieces! Really love them.

anywho..i have a little problem and i wonder if you could help me?

I have the EWQL SO, but it doesn't load most of the instruments. It says that they couldn't be found. I've checked a million times, everything is there. The library is complete. Any idea ?

  • @BankzZ89

I have had a similar problem with east west colossus, the thing what helped for me was pick out the parts which wouldn't load and download them again [and this time it DID work! although i redownloaded it from the same torrent]

  • @BankzZ89 What drive did you install the library on? And what drive did you install the interface on?

  • Excellent stuff... except for the pitch bend! You should know better than that ;-)

  • Amazing String parts!.. I would love to see a pdf score of this or midi file! wow! ..Is that possible?

  • it looks like a real orchestra!!!

  • ahhh... all my energy for continue making music has dissapeared... :(

    FUCKING GENIOUS!

  • This is amazing man ! I was wondering what program did you used to do that track?

  • Wow! Another Vangelis is here! Bravo!

  • is this EWQL gold by the way?

  • Damn, you are one talented musician. do you use Logic or something else?

  • OMGg i love this track better than any movie soundtrack..EPIC.

  • You should go work for Two Steps from Hell or Immediate Music. I dont mean this in a bad way, but your stuff is very typically "Hollywood film music". I fucking love hollywood film music, so I mean this in a good way.

  • i'm sorry, errr. i just peed in my pants ....so ...ing awsome, wow!!

  • You spelled Duduk wrong.....

  • Great stuff. I am once again impressed by your work!

  • You are the ultimate inspiration! I have Symphonic gold and Stormdrum 2 but I can't get my compositions to sound this good. Listening to your pieces is a real inspiration to me! Thanks Dude!

  • it's a duduk not a dubuk! ;)

  • it's soo epic!

  • what percussion instruments, and drums are used here??

  • In the right hands, EWQL is a beast! I'm loving it!

  • Awesome composition! :)

Question #1 : do you need a keyboard for EWQL?

Question #2: Can EWQL be run without other software or do you need a base program?

  • indeed ,very professional

    nice melodies , good mastering

    and great mind

    10/10

  • Excellent track. Keep it up.

  • I agree on the EQ and voluming. It really helps. When I get EWQLSOG back up and running again, I'll post a vid of my own.

  • Heres a quick tip, its all about mixing, Volumeing and good EQ's, volume all of your instruments, high strings have alot of drops and attacks, keep it natural.

  • excelent work.

    amazing

  • Comment removed

  • This is like The Dark Knight OST! Thank you:)

  • Very nice. It feels very professional.

Just curious, how did you mix this piece?

  • Just good EQ's, and alot of volumeing.

  • really cool piece.. well done...

  • Hey! Just letting you know that Ive listen to a lot of EWQL music and this is by far the best and most favorite of mine. I keep listening to it over and over. Keep up the great work!

  • This is awesome! I think it would take an extremely trained ear to tell that this was a computer!

  • Is genial!! =O!

  • Genius! Great work, I love it.

  • Honnestly, this is awesome. It even makes me feel like it should belong in a Batman movie.

  • my god .. one of the better orchestral compositions of youtube .. good job

  • Not only is the composition superb but I can't get over how well you've mixed this! I mean people this is a computer playing this! All midi and VSTs! I cant make it sound crisp and each instrument individual yet a good solid wall of sound which is perfectly balanced!

  • Thank you scottie!!

  • guess who steve o

i didnt know u had shit on tube. im checkin it all out right now

  • wow .. very cool!

  • very beautiful.....good job you can check my music;)

  • it's a very nice composition Steve, sounds very beautiful. I like the way you used the air instruments. You are very talented.

  • this music would be so cool in the production as part of like a conquest a little bit different then the music that is being used now very up beat

  • Wow that is totally awesome
