it is just a fact (mathematically) in raw speed, skiers are faster. This of course doesn't make one better than the other in fact I've heard people say that on a snowboard it feels faster, but I don't know personally since I just snowboard. It is really personally preference.

@xSirDingo He was only able to use them once in the beginning. After that they were useless. Snow boards are slower because of surface area and dimensions. Ski's offer a lot more control too which helps in the corners!

Skiing is so much faster than snowboarding. It's a facet as the surface area for snowboarding is so much more so causes more friction slowing you down. But the guy in this vid skiing was kinda silly. There was soo many chances to cut the corner by going of piste for a second and cut out 20 meters of piste. S. asicly if it's speed you want you want skis, also skiing is easier to use the lifts especily the drag lifts as you don't have to undo a foot thing which takes soo much time.. But snowboar

I used to use 2 skis, then I tried nowboard. I didnt like it, it just didnt flow for me. A few years later I came to a ski rental, and they had MONOSKIS to rent!!!

I rented one and I compleately fell in love! Even though I fell over all the time it was just amazing. If you get the chance you just gota try it!
