  • It will not work.

If you want 5 phase 20 coils you need 32 magnets.

  • YUP ..... YOU ARE HOOKED!!!.

AND I'M THE FIRST VIEWER. WWWWEEEEE.!!!!

  • i want to see if i have enough magnets to test it, maybe today.

    thanks

  • @emagnets HOW ABOUT INTERCHANGABLE STATORS? SAME MAGNET ROTOR, WITH DIFFERENT STATOR. IT JUST TAKES MORE DIODES TO RECTIFY THE AC PER PHASE.

    MUDDy

  • yup, the 2 phase rotor has 24 magnets, the same as the 5 phase.

i will start winding some coils, if i want to stay with cut in speed at 150rpm i need to figure the turns! the 2 phase one took 100 turns i wounder how many for the 5 phase??!!

    sam

  • @emagnets FOUR COILS IN SERIES ON THE 4 PHASE AT A TIME. THE COILS HAD 100 TURNS EACH. ON THE 5 PHASE YOU HAVE 4 COILS IN SERIES. SO 100 TURNS WILL DO NICELY. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE THAT YOU WILL NOTICE ON THIS 5 PHASE IS 2 1/2 TIMES AS SMOOTH DC RIPPLE AFTER RECTIFICATION.

IT WOULD SURPRISE ME IF YOU COULD HERE IT THROUGH A RADIO.

I AM PRETTY INTERESTED IN THIS ONE.
