i live on the south side of chicago and the Monk parakeets live in a huge nest on the top of a thick evergreen next door to me. i also see cardinals male and the not so colorful females. i also noticed a large population of robins. i personally love the green parakeets and they could not be as harmful as the thousands of "land gulls" that are everywhere other than the sea. The seagulls have pushed out the pidgeons

Chicago? I'm in the area of Chicago. I never saw any. Thats so awesome. I hope they are still here today. Its neat how they can withstand high cold.
