Fair play, my favourite Bukowski poem, I read it to my class every year to discuss 'modernity' because this poem is it. It's timeless, as relevant now as it was when he wrote it, and it will still be relevant when the rich watch from space platforms...
Yes. Makes me want to make a list of songs and poems and than gather them all together and send to all the world's leaders. I hope people will get what it's about before it's too late.
Certainly makes you think. "Born into this" is something for the world's leaders and every corporation dumping toxic waste to read and then do something positive for the environment :)
Ich war ernsthaft schlecht drauf, als ich das Gedicht entdeckt habe und bei sowas hilft es dann, sich in völlig sinnlose Arbeit zu stürzen. Ich kann eben leider nicht Gitarre spielen ;-)
Nice video (have you seen my Rubiks cube one which is similar?) did you use white paper and blue/black ink and change the colours in a video editor or have you used a white pen on some sort of shiny paper/plastic?
An excellent and interesting presentation. I liked the negative effect; the words almost glow.
I harbor deep doubts myself about where we are going. I suspect nothing can be done; population pressure alone will produce the effects he predicts. Once civilization begins to fragment and fail, the whole monstrous broken machine in which we are embedded will thrash us like chaff at harvest.
This video makes me so happy. I'm so glad you did this. So wonderful.

I guess we've used the same method. It's simply greyscale + inverted. =)

Thanks for sitting through this. I created a 10-minute-monster ;-)
This poem is great when you're feeling bad, because it negates all these stupid personal problems. I guess I just made it as a little reminder.

Very deep and beautifully written. And I also mean that literally as well:)
