the is my one favorite hip hop songs. it will always remain a classic.. i will still be bumpin this 50 years later it will still have that soul .. the music make you wanna break dance like them seriously
there's a line in it "bruce lee and krishnaji, come back"...he's referring to the youtube vid "Jeet kune do, Bruce lee and Krishnamurti", about jiddu krishnamurti's ("spiritual teacher") impact on bruce lee's spiritual outlook...."don't think feel..."
Anyone notice the prick in the brown sweater sliding the glass at the mime's feet as he's dancing on the bar? It's like he was trying to injure the guy.
I love this video because it features people who are actually DANCING. These kids today go to the club and stand on the wall and mean mug each other or they're lasciviously bumping and grinding. BRING BACK REAL RAP MUSIC AND CULTURE. This sex, sex, bling, bling, bang, bang n****r die slow garbage is pathological.
Criminally underheard/underrated, this man is a straight-up genius -- his creativity and originality make him one of the handful of vital artists working in hiphop today, along with Kanye, The Roots, and fellow Canadians K'naan and Shad -- and head and shoulders above most of the better known crop (crap?)...
@SkyKnight26 Well, Kanye doesn't need to be better known, but yes, he is vital when he's at his best. Think about the first time you heard "Jesus Walks" -- if you're like me, you got shivers, it was so good. And "808s and Heartbreak", an album a lot of people dumped on when it came out? In time, I think that album will be looked at as a landmark -- one of the boldest and bravest personal statements, both lyrically and sonically, in the history of hip-hop...
@PetertheImpaler i mean kanye pretty much bit the bug after Late Registration ...Graduation was a mix of bullshit and great and powerful music ...as for 808's i mean it was diffrent ..and good but now ..he's like ..trash compared to K-os, Kweli and Mos Def
@SkyKnight26 I think Kanye spends too much time treading the wrong side of the populist/art divide, and "bitches and hos" stuff got real old a long time ago... I understand and agree with a lot of what you said - - all I'm saying is don't count him out. "808s" was a masterpiece, and if I had to put money on one of the big names putting out a release that turns the hip-hop world on its head, he'd be right near the top of the list...
@Boizart1 dude i been trying to figure that out for the past almost 10 years... no answers anywhere, and no one seems to know. the search continues... but that dude is smooth as fuck, and crisp with his moves, thats why he stands out to me out of all the dancers in this video.
this is what life was like for me. So, when I hear or see the word HIP-HOP, the images in this video is what I KNOW it to be...No one can EVER take THAT away...;)
@cb3nc LoL.. Me and my best friend been debating that since this vid first came out so long ago. I say the same dude, he says the chick in the white blouse. She's slick too, but that dude is juz sick.
@deepmonkeypaw That is Dirty Dale, he's also a House DJ here in Toronto. Some of his dancing is on youtube. Just search "Dirty Dale" on youtube and the first 2 vids should be him dancing.

@cb3nc This video is full of good dancer, but that guy in the green cardigan is a standout, for sure. If you get k-os's sweet little DVD package called Publicity Stunt there is more footage of him on that.
This is T.O's hiphop sound
