I bought this in the 70's. This was where my mum grew up. I remember the big houses in my grandma's road (Verulam Street) where I wasn't too keen on going up the stairs. Rats and things. My mum loved growing up there but the place fell to pieces. Literally. The houses were pulled down and nothing much remained. My mum's roots and much of her childhood memories were gone.

But the music remains. Great songs! Powerful cover!

This joint happens to be one of the best from the United Kingdom. Most of the time I still wish there was more R n' B from there since Black American radio only focuses on what's released here in USA.

Superb, yet it doesn’t seem to get much airplay nowadays. And what about tracks like “I wish you well” and “Kathy”. When first heard, this album sounded incredibly modern, ahead of its time. It’s an absolute underplayed British classic. I just played it again for the first time in twenty five years.
