Thanks for this! And with the the album cover that I have at home.
I bought this in the 70's. This was where my mum grew up. I remember the big houses in my grandma's road (Verulam Street) where I wasn't too keen on going up the stairs. Rats and things. My mum loved growing up there but the place fell to pieces. Literally. The houses were pulled down and nothing much remained. My mum's roots and much of her childhood memories were gone.
But the music remains. Great songs! Powerful cover!
@Elisabeth1903 ...***THIS IS THE 1978 VERSION.***.. .DO YOU HAVE THE (80'S VERSION) 1986 ON AN MP3 FILE??? I'VE LOOKED ALL OVER THE WEB AND CAN NOT FIND THE 80'S VERSION.
@Elisabeth1903 ...If your computer has the ability to "burn" a cd...you can burn the file into an MP3 and e-mail it to me...if that is too complicate or too much work....its cool.
This joint happens to be one of the best from the United Kingdom. Most of the time I still wish there was more R n' B from there since Black American radio only focuses on what's released here in USA.
Superb, yet it doesn’t seem to get much airplay nowadays. And what about tracks like “I wish you well” and “Kathy”. When first heard, this album sounded incredibly modern, ahead of its time. It’s an absolute underplayed British classic. I just played it again for the first time in twenty five years.
Just Heard This In The Record Shop I Work At Last Night. It Was Part Of A Complimation Called "British Hustle", It Has Alot Of R&B Tunes From The 70's From Britan. I Had To Buy It. Amazing Tune.
i was looking everywhere for this..i came across a lot of other remakes that sounded good..but this one is the best..

@Elisabeth1903 do you have the 1986 version of the song? (80's version)....the 80's version has a 'softer/lighter' tone.

@Harrisoa It's already burned into an mp3-file and ready to be sent. You know what? I'll ask somebody how to email a song! I'll try tomorrow, ok?
