  • I was just on the verge of ordering one, but thought I would check out some reviews on it first. ...Very happy I saw your video. THANK YOU for saving me money and from (more than likely) getting badly burnt. Appreciate it! :)

  • I actually bought mine at Walmart about a month ago. It came with the attachment. It was $99.

  • Thanks for doing this video. I had the same kind of burn to my fingers that you had from touching the hot barrel on my Instyler. I haven't used it since because of how badly I was burned. I had to sleep with my hand in a large bowl of ice overnight because of the pain. I "didn't" purchase my Instyler from QVC but I'm going to see if I can purchase the thermal protector elsewhere (even though it should be free OR the item should be recalled because of the injuries it's caused).

  • Hey Dezi, have you tred it on your natural hair? If so dose it make it straight?

  • Thankyou sweetie I just got mine at Walmart and if you get the deluxe it comes with this clip, styling sray etc, but I burnt my forehead so it isn't really worth all this money to look good to hurt yourself u know what I'm saying. It also says u can get cancer from the cord so I think I will just take it back and stay with my maxiglide that isn't nearly as dangerous as this product & it fried my hair too, so this one does not have my vote, weaves and extensions it's fine but not on real coarse.

  • i wish i saw this video before i burnt my neck :( it took 5 months to fully heal!

  • omg u have a beautiful head of hair!

  • You are so pretty!

  • Once you buy the instyler, it should have came with it... Well, at least mine did.

  • Le InStyler est super, j'arrive à me lisser les cheveux son problème, j'aime bien les conseils et les modèles de coiffure proposer, par contre je ne c'est pas comment faire pour me procurer les boucliers.

  • Shields are coming with them from QVC now but thanks for the explanation. I just got my Instyler today so am checking out youtube for ideas.

  • Anabeth, I want to thank you for this tutorial. I ordered my Instyler thru Ebay from a private distributor. (It included the shield as well.) But because of your tutorial, it made me concious of the potential burn factor if you rush or are careless with the iron which I tended to do with my regular flat iron. So I always keep that in mind and I wouldn't have even thought about that if it hadn't been for your video!!! Thanks again!! :) :) :)

  • i burned my forehead when i used it + it didnt straighten my hair at all!!!!!!

  • Thanks!! You're beautiful and you've got a gorgeous hair. How did you get it? =D

  • This thing doesn't burn yr hair,it burns yr skin.I always burned my neck or finger woth this damn thing!

  • I just bought this on ebay, I'm a guy but I want my hair looking hot for the ladies, cause my hair is kind of curly. My sis wear like winter gloves when shes going to use a hot iron and never gets burned and she never puts it close to her head. People are just don't know how to play the cards they got. Everything has a way of fixing it.

  • Thank you for the info. You are great!

  • That was really smart of you touching the cylinder part of the Istyler, thats where all the heat goes, smh...

  • @Jazzie646 Jasmine, I think you didn't really watch all of this video, based on your comment. It's a common fact that people do burn themselves of hair irons, everyday.

  • @Dezi1016 Jazzie646 is a damn fool, lol. Flat irons are all cool on the outside and for a moment you forgot you were using a new straightening tool. The majority of people watched the whole video and it was very informational. I am looking to get a new straightening tool, so this video was good for me.

  • my lil sis use to hack the worse curly hair but now it is all striaght

I saw them today they are like $94.00 you can also get them at Target for $100.00 I have a hard curling my hair with it..I feel bad b/c I payed $100.00 for it and I never use it because..it doesn't work for me..I've watched the dvd it comes with over an dover. • WOW GREAT INTRO!

  • very thoughtful of you to do this.

  • Thanks for watching

  • Looks like the Instyler was a bad design to start with. Was nice of you to inform everyone.

  • Thanks for watching my video

  • you are probably saving a lot of people from burning their fingers. thank you so much! i wanted to buy on of these but now i will make sure the one i buy has one of these protecitve things.

  • I hope so, I really don't think it's that safe even with the guard.

    Thanks for watching

  • just not practical and wont last. Like a brush, the bristles will bend and wear out. Why go through that. Buy a good flat iron that wont do that.

  • yes you're right I don't think it is that practical, however I do own a CHI flat iron, I like that a lot.

    Thanks for watching

  • That is one of the most impractical flat irons I have ever seen. I remember this came out years ago and I remember thing and saying PLEASE!

  • yes your right!! lol...lol...

    Thanks for watching

  • Thanks for sharing

  • thanks for watching

  • My mom gave me this styler iron for Christmas almost a year ago. I burned my fingers the first time using it. Blisters were on four of my fingers, and I never used it again. I like the thermo shield, so iwill contact the company to find out how I can get one.

  • I can certainly sympathize with you, I don't feel this product is safe, however this shield is okay, it will help to prevent burns.

    Thanks for watching

  • i am so sorry that you were burned...you really look so pretty in this video...i love the look!

  • Thank you so much watching my video and thank you for the compliment

  • can you tell us how to use in styler iron?

  • I probably won't be doing a tutorial on this iron, I was so discouraged from using it. after I was burned, I really don't think it's safe.

    Thanks for watching, take care.

  • hey dezi luv the vid it was very informative btw you look thinner.

  • I tell people the recession is making me look thinner...lol..lol I'm on the Nutrisystem program, it's working.

    Thanks for watching

  • Great tut! I HAVE to have the lip color that your wearing. Could you tell me the name it? Thanks!

  • I hope your Instyler lasts longer than mine - after the third use it stop working! Great product if it just continues to stay on!

  • I hope I gather up the courage to use it again.

    Thanks for watching

  • I have the instyler rotating iron too!

    I got that note too!

Can you do a tutorial on your hair using the instyler?

  • I hv been thinkn on purchasing this iron, thank you fo this informative info.

  • This is not very practical, you're better off using a regular flat iron.

    thanks for watching

  • Oh wow Thank you

  • THanx for the video. I was just thinking of purchasing this iron.

  • I don't think this iron is very practical, and I really don't feel it's safe to use. Maybe you should invest in a good flat iron... but that's up to you..lol..

    Thanks for watching

  • Hello Dezi1016, you really surprised me with your answer. Thanx soo much for being this involved. I really appreciate a personal touch. Thanx for sharing all your knowledge and experience. I really like you, you are super sweet!

  • Your hair looks so natural. Thanks.

  • thank you, and thanks for watching.

  • oohh girl...hope u r okay.....I can't imagine the pain when u automatically did that by holding that top part of the curling iron...

  • my fingers had blisters on them for more than a week, honestly I don't think I'm going to use this again. I think I'm sending this one back.

    Thanks for watching

  • DAYUM....that's just awful....it looks interesting..but the barrel is way too big for my short hair...it would never get the roots like I want...so sorry to hear about your fingers..I know you were saying all kinds of colorful words when that happened..

  • @Dezi1016 So you made this video just to send it back????

  • @MsRosalieMarie I made this video to share information!!!

  • @Dezi1016 I'm glad u can send it back!:) It's not worth shit!

  • Hey Dezi, Do you think you could do a tutorial with the "Instyler" on your natural hair? How well does it work...? Or do you just use it on wigs and hair pieces?

  • I probably won't be doing a tutorial but this iron, I still don't feel it's safe to use. I think I'm sending this one back.

    Thanks for watching

  • that is such a fancy design on the iron, :D love ur hair that way <3 love love love

  • this iron is so impractical, I think it's a big waste of money, I think I'm sending mine back.

    Thanks for watching

  • Thanks for sharing. Nice looking out :)

Yeah, they probably had a lawsuite. So in order for them to up their game, they had to come with the attachement in order to prevent anyone else from getting burned.

  • Yes, I really think that's what's happening with this product, but I still don't feel it's safe, I probably won't be using it again I think I'll send it back.

    Thanks for watching

  • Yeah, I don't blame you at all if you send it back.

I almost brought one last year until I found out the price !! They were selling it on TV here for around $160 !! Ouch !

Now to me that's some serious money that I can use for car insurance, bills or a shopping spree for wigs ! LOL :)

  • How has the InStyler been working for you since getting the extra attachment?

I've been wanting to buy it & use it instead of a flat iron but am not sure if it'll work as well because I have very coarse, thick, & frizzy hair.

  • I haven't used it after I burned myself, honestly I still don't believe it's that safe to use.

    Thanks for watching

  • They really should sell the two items together. Especially if it will guard against burning yourself. Thanks for sharing this. It was very helpful..

  • I think the company developed the guard, after complaints came in about people burning themselves. I do believe all future purchases of this iron will include the guard.

    Thanks for watching

  • how much was it?

  • I'm sorry I don't remember the price, but it was reasonable or I would have bought it.

    Thanks for watching

  • 40? and do they have a website

  • I wondered about this curling iron also. Thanks for sharing. Dezi, now seen you have the shield will you be doing a tut? How does it work on natural hair/wigs? Thank you.

  • you know I don't think I will be doing a tutorial with this iron, I really felt so discouraged from using this after I burned myself.

    Thanks for watching

  • oh God I know that must have been a very nasty burn! I'm so glad your o.k. now!

  • Oh yes,... I burned myself very badly. I'm okay now.

    Thanks for watching

  • Thanks for doing this video Sis!

  • Thank you Pink, for stopping by and checking in on me.

  • So sorry to hear about your burn, Dezi! Glad to hear QVC stepped up to the bat and sent out those heat-guards to people who'd purchased the curling iron.

    <3Z

  • yes I'm glad they stepped up, I mean really, this iron just isn't safe to use without the attachment.

    Thanks for watching take care.

  • thanks for watching, take care

  • great video!

  • thanks for watching.

  • I'm just not going to buy this item period. Thanks for looking out:)

  • yes, I don't recommend this product, I still don't feel it's safe even with the attachment. Take care and thanks for watching my video.

  • Thanks hun, I thought about this but decided not to purchase it.

  • I don't recommend this, I still don't feel it's safe, even with the attachment. thanks for watching my video.

  • I saw this on tv here in the uk, and I thought at the time that there was a lot of heat exposed, knowing me I'd do the same as you did! How did you like the styler? Aside from the burning did it style your hair well?

  • Well I burned myself so badly, that I was discouraged from using it. I'll probably send this back to QVC.

    Thanks for watching

  • I love QVC and HSN and I thought about this item, but had some concerns. Now I know why. Thanks for this vid, I think that I will pass on this one. You look gorgeous once again:)
