I like it Assassino. The sad part is the lack of earth using fleets. They just had like one or 2 ships, some 302s, and on occasion something ancient.

you know what i dont get, there were so many chances for earth to get so many ha'tak class ships-but seems the only 1 they ever took was the 1 from Cronus, ha'taks if modified with better shields and additional weps could prove to be really great gain...

indeed...they can hold thousands of troops for example, and if upgraded, they would be a great addition to the fleet, if not for main battle roles, just for assault and support.

Unfortunately no. I used whole episodes, and never rendered the individual clips. So i only have full episodes.

No not really but there are faster sources where you can get them. And more legal. I think you can download from multiple places for minimal money, or buy the DVD-s.

I don't think people realize it but the Tauri have the better weapons. Heating seeking missiles beat energy blast any day

Only one thing: Every F-302 carries 4 missiles, and after they have expended their ammo, they're pretty much useless.(On-board railguns not that good). Not to mention that the Gliders have their advantages (no ammo limit, less fuel used, a bit faster and more maneuverable.) But one thing is true, and i will borrow the the P90 vs Staff weapon comparison: The glider was made to intimidate the enemy, the 302 was made to kill the enemy.

The glider is faster and more maneuvrable, but you can make a single 302 face 4 or more gliders and still exit winner... It's missiles just pwn everything in their lock...

Yeah, but it has the disadvantage that once it runs out of ammo, it has to return to base...the gliders carry a much larger 'ammo' payload:)

But i more like the 302 anyway:)

@SoulAssassino They still have the dual cannons... Those are pretty equivalent to the gliders staff cannons... Except they could probably only sustain a few seconds of continued firing...

you mean that whole 13 seconds of the Ha'tak fighting the Ori ships? And that 16 seconds about the Ori ships coming through the supergate? That's a total of hmmmmm, what? 29 seconds? Of 3:19? And i'm not sure the Ori supergate stuff counts because the battle is in it afterwards.

Well, it is a MUSIC video. That's the point. Sometimes the original sound doesn't go well with any music videos. But for example where would you put in the original sound here? I'm curious.

I guess the point I am trying to get at is I don't want to see music videos, I want to see actual videos from the show with sound effects. Or it could just be that that damn song got played every 15 minutes for 2 years straight, and I would rather gouge my ears out than listen to it again.

Well, then don't watch the video. And original, whole clips from the show are copyrighted, and the copyright owners have much smaller tolerance for clips than they have for music videos. And okay, you don't have to like the song, or the vid. I respect your opinion. But now this was the one that gave me an idea, so this was done. The main problem was the style you expressed your opinion. You could have been more civilized about it.

And it's quite hard to use the original stargate sound in a music video, because stargate has always music playing in the background. And that quite ruins timings, rythms etc...AND you never asked.

Now this is a good piece of work. Hopefully the full version of your mod will completely capture the space opera scenes of Stargate.

As for mod balance, I think it would make more sense for the Asgard beam weapons to do mostly anti-systems damage (to represent them disabling otherwise tough Ori shields without having to wear them down conventionally). After all, it wouldn't be fair for other players if Asgard beam weapons killed everyone else real fast in multiplayer.

We're working on the balancing, there are different plans for the Asgard beam weapons, from a huge charge time to not including it at all in multi, or limiting the players fleet size. But right now we're focusing on single player.
