i happen to be a very big fan of jack white and most of his works, but when you talk about Bob Dylan you talk about one of the greatest of the lyricists not only of his generation but of music generally.some groovy riffs just cant compare to that no matter how we all appreciate them. art combines all. Awesome version! I play many songs from Dylan by myself and I know that there are just a few musicians who can do a Dylan song with the spirit it needs (can't explain it better, sorry).

I'm sure Bob loves it. After Hendrix covered "All Along the Watchtower," Dylan would play it like Jimi on his own tours. Most people can't cover Dylan, but The White Stripes are excellent at it!
